CD's with that one special slow track at the end
Has anyone else noticed that some CD's have one track, usually at the end of the 2nd cd, that fits perfectly with the rest of the album but is unique from the rest of the tracks and usually quite emotional/chilled? I love the cd's that have this. The only ones i know being:
James Zabiela - Alive -- track is: BT - Childhood Montage
Chris Fortier - Balance 007 -- track is: Bent - As You Fall (Micah Remix)
Paulo Mojo - Balance 009 -- track is: Sebastien Tellier - La Ritournelle
Does anyone know of any other cd's/albums that have this? Or even certain tracks/album of tracks similar to the ones mentioned above?
wachutalknboutwillis?
Erm Kinda...
Scott Bond - Ahead has the track Oakenfold - Mortal. Bloody nice tune actually.
And Slinky Factor 3 has Queeker - Outstreamream.
Also Bloody nice song. Has a beat for 30 seconds though.
for show.
Depeche Mode - Playing The Angel (Darkest Star)
Rob Dougan - Furious Angles (Clubbed To Death 2).
I like to think of them as 'summary tracks'. they embody what the album was all about.
I do this sometimes with my cd's, last cd I used this for the last track :
Mandalay - Beautiful (Canny Mix)
Its not a bad tune
greeen day dookie
gabriel & dresden - bloom
Nearly all psy and goa artist albums have their last track being a slower, sometimes experimental track. Sometimes they turn out to be pretty good as was the case with Protoculture's latest album.
John Digweed - Transitions
Not the usually Digweed banger at the end. Instead he chose a track James Holden used as his 2nd track of his 2nd CD: Paul Kalkbrenner - Gebrnn Gebrnn
zabiela's 4.2 CD1 has royksopp - dead to the world as its closing track
along with some eternal sunshine samples!
nice one james
