It's actually pretty tough to immigrate and get citizenship. I have a friend that was born in Korea and moved here when she was 1.
round her 18th birthday she wanted to become an "official" American. She had to take a test about America. The test was sick, four hours of multiple choice, word match, and essays.

Isn't that what it's like to be a citizen in most countries? I thought that's how it was to become a Canadian citizen at least.

My best friend did that. Even then its not so simple.

All kinds of fucking shit you still have to go through. He has SO MANY headaches, once ur married, they wont even let u into teh country till u have ur greencard bc if ur married to an american, they presume u have an "intent to stay" if u were to enter the US.

It was a rough year and a bit, luckily Canada isnt intense like that, and his wife had no problems visiting him up here as much as she wanted.

She was up here every 2nd week from NC for almost a year.
