...

Best tune of this years i think! It's so wonderful! I don't think the orignal mix nor the tiesto remix has been released yet, but when it comes out i'm definately gonna buy it!

I heard the oakie version and I didn't think it was that good. I'd give it another listen, but I wasn't blown away like I thought I would have been considering ll the rave reviews of it floating around.

I can`t join the hype around that song since I`m nota great vocal lover and this track has a lot of vocals. The melody of the songs stands behind the vocals = the vocals make the melody not the music. Sorry, not my cup of tea. I can accept it, if a songs has a catchy vocal line in it but the main part of the song should be the music not the vocals. Otherwise it`s not really trance to me.

But that`s just my personal opinion. I know that many will really like the song, since the vocals are really emotional and the melody they sing is also quite emotional and emotions are what trance is all about. So all the vocal lovers will really like it, everyone who is like me and doesn`t like too much vocals in a song won`t like it.

i like it..i still cant decide whether its an OMFG tune or if its just an oh great tune ...

I can't understand all the hype either. I hate to say it but to me it sounds like a normal trance song. It just doesn't do it for me. Sorry!

Posted by tiesto14 on Mar-03-2002 05:54:

ya its cool...not the best track but nice

Posted by Crazy Serb on Mar-03-2002 06:00:

Same here... I don't know where is all the hype coming from, cuz this sounds just like any other vocal trance song... it's all right, but nothing special (at least not for now). Maybe I have to hear it another hundred times or something in order to 'feel it'...?

btw southern sun kicks ass...but i heard it may not be released. atleast not the tiesto mix. not sure though cuz i only read from another thread earlier today in the forum.

unless its an amazing tune, i can't like a live rip.

oh yeah, was there ever a full rip of East West - The Love I Lost ??

Posted by Great Outdoors on Mar-03-2002 09:14:

My top 10 tunes of the year so far- yeah it's only March, but who cares lol. It's a very good trance song; the vocals did it for the track as a whole I think.

agreed. i need to listen to the FULL original version a couple hundred times to like it. if they got sarah mclachlan / jan johnston / dido to do the lyrics, then but for now

and i've heard that East West - The Love I Lost was never released because corsten didn't feel like it or something. amazing tune.

Thanks! Do you know how long the set was? AG seems to have times all over the place....Anywhere from 1 hour to 7 hours

Posted by Mark on Mar-04-2002 03:52:

the actual set is 9 hours long
but the radio 538 broadcast was only 7 hours long
and the release groups have split the 7 hour mp3 into
3 different parts. hope that helps.

Addendum to this: Southern Sun is in the second part, for those who don't want to d/l the whole set, even though you should, because it's an amazing set.
