Where can I get Virtual Game Sattion PS-X emulator for Windows?
Before I burn any games, I like to make a CD-RW backup JUST to test and see if the game runs well before putting it on a CD-R. Unless anyone knows how to adjust the PS-X laser for CD-RW play, VGS is my ONLY way to go. Now, I've heard that there IS a way to make a standard CD-player play RWs that involves adjusting the power of the laser so, that it can read CD-RWs (read: CDR-FAQ http://www.cdrfaq.org/ even though this info isn't in there, it DOES mention the reasons as to WHY CD-RWs DON'T play in standard CD players (without modification)).
ALL HELP WOULD BE APPREACIATED!!!
[EDIT] PS: I am running Windows XP Professional - Corporate Editon FINAL if that means anything relating to Connectix (sp?) VGS...
hmm connectix sold this emu for sony so i dont think there would be better compatiablity for newer version of windows..or Mac os =[

first of all VGS i not compatible with XP as u may know.
Theres a better way to test your ISOs instead of burning them to a CDRW then playing them with VGS.
Get ePSXe from wwww.zophar.net
Install and open the program, (u might wanna get some plugins)
File>load ISO
If it works, obviosly itll run..
if not, look at the DOS screen and itll tell u the error..
about the CDRW
thing
Its not possible to calibrate the ps laser to read a CDRW
Calibrating your PS laser will only read the CDR better..
