Changing the Numark dxm06 Crossfader

Hey guys, i've had the mixer for like 6 months and the crossfader is starting to go... in the manual, it says that the crossfader is replaceable so i was just wondering what kind you guys would reccomend (for scratching/hiphop) and where to get it at the best price. thanks in advance.

not sure about that one but FOR SURE you can get one here:

(just scroll down to the Type-D crossfaders)...unfortunately for the second link youll have to see if they ship to united states and for how much cost.

good luck

Just for reference, if/when you do replace it, make a new thread or edit this one showing how you did it. I have the same mixer and figure I'll need to repair it sometime and it'd be nice to see a little guide on how to replace parts and such for it.

Thanks

its quite easy to replace crossfaders and i beleive there are already plenty of threads about (see search button ftw)...essentially all you do is the following generally:

1. remove knobs/fader caps/etc
2. remove faceplate making note of screws etc
3. unscrew x-fader plate unit
4. remove fader, disconnect connection band
5. plug in new fader connection band and replace all parts...

sorry for not being more detailed but regardless the process is well documented on this site and should be so on your manufacturer's website as well...cheers bro.

If your prepared to spend the money replacing it, then try and fix it instead. Worst you can do is destroy it, and have to buy another.
