How many tracks have you bought from beatport?

I'm at 400. Since December 2005, when I started using the place.

I've gotten maybe 50 off djdownload, and another 25 from other places...but beatport is still 1st...

Now if there was only a quick way to see how much I've spent, that would be interesting

Posted by SPAWNmaster on Jul-04-2006 08:00:

i only just discovered it about 2 or 3 weeks ago so ive only downloaded around 15 or so...

I'm closing in on 100 but that's generally not my first choice since I go strictly for the wave format and Beatport charges a dollar extra just for 'wave handling' which in my opinion is not justified AT ALL. Especially since the other site I download from offers wave downloads at no extra cost.

exactly 91 tracks. ive downloaded another 10 or so free from them.

easily spent 150 bucks on that addicting website

well since everything i downloaded off of limewire and soulseek had fucked up titles and the quality sucked...and everything ended up being set rips...i finally decided to purchase digital music for the first time. Beatport. I made my first purchase there today and I bought 30 tracks in one sitting. i love the site although searching for shit is a pain in the ass sometimes.

VONYC
Proprietor: Mr. Paul van Dyk
The repertoire is nowhere close to Beatport but it has most of the stuff I am after.

Me too the search is a pain some times. I wish they would change the min amount of letters to 3 or less. There have been a few times where I wanted to search something that had a name with only 3 or somtimes less letters. Example would be BT

1 and that was steve porter - mindless, it's just because it was a killer tune and was impossible to find on vinyl let alone on p2p so i bought it off beatport

Posted by Aquarian on Jul-04-2006 15:52:

Not that many. I prefer to support sites with better service, like audiojelly.

Posted by punjabi on Jul-04-2006 16:04:

probably around 125 in the last year.

Posted by Boomer187 on Jul-04-2006 16:10:

182 in about a year. I prefer audiojelly and djdownload, cause every mothafooker has beatport songs.

Posted by RJT on Jul-04-2006 17:25:

441 off beatport, probably about 100 off DJDownload, and 200 off Audiojelly...

That's why when you're on Beatport you've gotta dig through the shit for the gold that the "Buy this Genre's Top Ten List" folks aren't finding...

Beatport's biggest problem is that it has way too much bullshit to wade though, so it's easier for kids to just buy the most popular new releases every week without searching for any substance.

38 off beatport and another 6 off audiojelly. i think audiojelly is too expensive though.

I like that - because it makes it more satisfying for those of us who do bother digging.

About 200 over 2 years.

I wish they had some of the more commercial tracks that you would find on iTunes or CD singles/vinyl.

They should have a downloadable text file listing all the tracks because the Beatport search system is clunky.

Better yet - a centralized search engine for all the download stores so you know where to find the tracks. The track names are not just sitting there on static web pages so Google doesn't help much.

They should lose the Flash-concept. It's very annoying.
Maybe some small elements in Flash, but man do I hate website that are 100% Flash .

www.trackitdown.net is by far the best dance mp3 download site - they've got just about everything Beatport have got (less a few really shite labels you wouldn't want anything from anyway) and a load more on top of that... the player's a lot better, you can download samples of the tracks to your hard drive instead of having to stream them, or even stream them in an external player if you don't like their one... MUCH nicer to navigate around.

And they do WAVs as well

i agree audiojelly is a little too expensive for me and i usually dont find much worth it on audiojelly that a good treasurehunting on beatport wouldnt yield . btw anyone use DC++ at all?? most of the time quality is shit mp3's and almost never the latest but every once in a while you find something solid that youve been seraching for for ages...
