Virus C \ Indigo 2 Tuoghts?

im going to purchase an Indigo 2 synth this month , any tuoghts of u Virus C \ Indigo 2 users? interface , Operating system , Waveforms?

is it worth it?

virus indigo 2 is a compact version of the Virus KC it has the C Engine and its quite nice if u want something small with keys...same thing as C at its features.

about the TI Sound hmm dosent sound that hard...like a Bitcrushed Sine

i believe C can come up with summat like that

I'm pretty sure this is one of the wavetables, so you won't be able to make it with a C. It could be one of the 64 waveforms too, don't know.

The Virus TI engine is exactly the same as the Virus C engine. The TI just has an extended feature set.

The only difference in terms of sound quality is the VC has 18 bit A/D conversion and 24 bit/48 khz D/A Conversion. Output is unbalanced.

The VTi has 24 bit A/D conversion, 24 bit/192 khz D/A conversion. Output is balanced.

its from a TI demo and i wonder if its made of the graintables or if its from the subtractive part and if a C can do the same? i love sounds like this.

Unfortunately the VC cant make that sound exactly as that is one of the new wavetables.

Virus C desktop is rackmountable. You need to buy a rackmount kit to do it though. and you need to remove the wooden side panels. Im not sure about the C model but on my Virus B the screws are on the inside so I have to open it up in order to remove the panels (voiding the warranty). The Ti has the screws on the outside so you can rackmount it without killing your warranty.

The indigo is not rackmountable because of the extra width to fit in the pitch/mod wheels. It wont fit in a rack.

I've heard that patch on my TI. =) I've never used any of the wavetables before in any of my patches though.. they just don't sound that cool to me *Shrug*.

Features the Ti has:

24 bit D/A conversion and can output at 192khz.
(Virus C engine has 18 bit D/A conversion and 96khz.)

Balanced inputs and outputs.
(Virus C is totally unbalanced).

80 voice polyphony under average load.
(VC is 32)

Additional wavetables.

Hypersaw Oscillator.

Redesigned LCD submenu.

I think there are a few others but the fact it is now balanced really seals the deal. If you can afford it. If you cant, then its not worth thinking about it.
