Ticketmast and how much they suck

so i ordered my wemf super early birds back in the beginning of may, still havent seen tix in my mailbox. so i call ticketmaster customer service (what a mis-nomer) and after waiting on hold for 40+ minutes, a customer service rep procedes to tell me that because canada post apparently lost my tickets, i now have to drive to toronto to pick up replacement tickets. now if i lived in toronto, that would be great but i live 2 hours away. so thats 4 hours of driving to pick up tickets that should have been mailed to me.

so now my so called cheaper ticekts are going to cost me another 60 bucks in gas and half a day of my time to get. i could kill someone right now

Is that the closest ticket master to you? Maybe you could ask them if you could pick them up at a closer location. Or maybe one that's on the way to WEMF?

Demand satisfaction!

Get them to courier the tickets to a ticketmaster closer to you.

It doesn't hurt to call back with a calm yet forceful tone. And tell them that you aren't happy with their service at all and that they should be helping YOU. If not...tell them you can ensure them you will not be doing business with them again and informing others about their terrible service.

wait i dunno but for what i understand this is not ticketmaster fault Canada post lost your ticket .... with somethings you order online unles you purchase insurance on the item your shit out of luck if something happens i think it's nice of em to replace your tickets but it is stupid that someone who works there can't take the 50cents to mail it to you

Well it that case I think he should call Canada Post as well.

That is an unacceptable resolution to your problem. Demand to speak to a supervisor. If they refuse to budge, then ask how to arrange how a local friend can pick them up for you, but only bring that up as a last option. It is up to them to make arrangements for you. It is completely absurd for them to think you can just hop in a car and drive for hours to pick up tickets. If they are there for pick up, they can be mailed to you. EOD.

well i took some of the advice here, i tried to use the whole non aggressive yet firm tone..... they practically gave me driving directions in response. so i cut out the middle man. ryan from destiny emailed their account manager at ticktemaster on my behalf and lo adn behold i got my tickets finally in a courrier envalope this morning.

i still however dont agree that i had to resort to asking the event promoter to help me deal with this problem. had ticketmaster had some decent customer service procedures in place i wouldnt have had to deal with it.

Posted by tatgirl on Jul-07-2006 17:46:

Glad your problem was resolved, thanks to Destiny.

I'd still write a formal letter of complaint to them, suggesting they change their idiotic and unrealistic policies.

Driving directions..... wtf?

this kind of reminds me of when rogers refused to cancel my dead grandma's cable, telling my already very upset uncle "maybe she'll change her mind"

if you think all this is bad, try to deal with bell canada. Not only are their products and services the shittiest of them all, but their customer service is the worse in the history of customer service.

When my sympatico modem would not connect, i was told that bell is in no way obliged to provide me internet service.I shit you not.I guess the bill i pay every month is more of a donation.I almost wanted to choke the employee who spent all that time explaining to me why i should pay for a service i dont get.

i avoid bell service at all costs.

the only thing bell has going for them is one really really cool guy, Sling S., working for them.

Thats some pretty fucking brutal orig customer service! Holy shit! What a piss poor attitude for a business to adopt!

+1 I had a Bell cell phone for about a year and got fed up with having to call them monthly to tell them to fix my bill. I have since switched to Rogers, and although they're not perfect...MUCH better service.

Everyone I know has left Bell as soon as their contract is up, virtuatlly saying, "thanks for wasting my money. You're terrible service has encouraged me to never deal with your company again."
