Toronto Virgin
Toronto virgin here. Headin up from Ohio to pop my cherry this weekend. My buddy and I centered our trip around seeing ATB at The Guv. One of my favorite DJs, seen him a couple times down here in the states and he hasnt dissapointed me yet. I hope I am also not dissapointed by The Guv as I am very excited about checking this place out. I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on a few things.......
1) What time do headliners usually take the stage at Guvernment?
2) What time is a good time to show up? Is there usually a long line at some point during the night? If so, is there a guest list that would allow me to avoid it?
3) Along the same lines.... Is there also a guest list for free or reduced cover? I dont mind paying to see my favorite djs, but I also dont mind paying less either.
4) What time does the club close? Are there any afterhours the night of ATB?
5) On a scale of 1-10, what would you give guvernment as a venue for trance djs?(10 being something that should be in Ibiza) I would like to know what to expect.
Thank you in advance to anyone who replies. I hope to see some energetic and fun people out the nights we are in town. Any other info would be great also. I wanna make the most out of my first trip to Toronto..... Sleep is not an issue!
you'll have fun, guvernment is a good time and is an afterhours. check out the visitors information thread stickied on this forum.

set times are released a day or 2 before the event...well major events, in ATB's case...I imagine sometime around 2.

the time you arrive is all up to you really...I woulden't worry about huge lines; and since ATB is on a regular night, there are guest lists; just depending on which room of the complex you want to enter from.

there are promoter guest lists (very limited)that get you in for free.Recuded guest list are for major events, but there are regular guest list like I mentioned above.

7-8 on regular nights, and esp events goes on till whenever the DJ wants to stop.Sonic is the major afterhour club in toronto, i'd check it out.

for Toronto...i'd say around 8/10
