What a tracklist

Tales Of The Unexpected was welcomed as a new series by both Platipus & non-Platipus music lovers.

Tales 2 is no ordinary Platipus album - this is the current best seller’s list of independent labels represented on 2 CDs – BPitch Control, Border Community, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, Kompakt, Sonar Kollektiv, Sunday Best and Systematic.

Not a Trance glowstick in sight on this genre defying cutting edged album.

Simon Berry (aka Art Of Trance) who compiled & mixed the album is embarking ona DJ career playing both Kimberley private festivals in July.

so I guess it's easier to jump in the minimal bandwagon than trying to make some good trance

Art of trance didnt make these tracks, they just spin them into a DJ mix.
Or do they need to make 30 new fantastic trance tracks themself to put in this mix or what?

Listening to this mix now, cd1 is good in terms of tracklist but the flow and mixing is all over the place. Bit of a letdown.

But surprising enough cd2 is ALOT better. Granted, the tracklist is not that fresh, but the flow and mixing is alot better here. Really feels like a great flowing mix with pretty much every track bangin'

edit: dibiza & obsessive sound are totally out of place though

Strange mix album

I never did like Obsessive sound. On Lights out 3, I always felt like it interupted the flow of the mix (on cd 2 I think). And I dont like the Dibiza track either. Ill probably just dl and delete this one.

Well, i like obsessive sound normally but here on cd2 its totally out of place with the rest of the techhouse tracks. It just doesnt fit. Same with the Dibiza track really, which i dont like anyway
