best performance by a single player thus far

I vote Zizou in the france-brazil match. stunning return to form and just an all around flawless game for him. lets hope he can pull another one of those in the final.

Rapid Fire for being on France's Coq once Seriba was out

Posted by luisjb82 on Jul-05-2006 22:33:

lol anyway

I'd have to say there are 3 for me.

Zidane vs Brazil... just amazing.

Cech vs Ghana... I had never seen a goalkeeper stop so many goals before, could and should have easily ended 12-0.

Cannavaro vs Germany... guy's a wall, simple as that.

Because Rooney kicked the wrong balls and Ronaldo was whining for a card?

Imo Carravano and Zidane have been playing impressive.

Would be my pick too. He simply played amazing!

Posted by Michael19 on Jul-06-2006 18:29:

Cannavaro for me. The chap has been unreal.

Posted by Sinus on Jul-06-2006 18:44:

Lahm was good in the first round but was nowhere to be found against decent opposition.

I think I'll go for Cannavaro as well.

Posted by happyface on Jul-06-2006 18:50:

Zidane vs Brazil. He may not do much in prior games but he always shows up to the big games.

Cannavaro throughout the the whole tournament.

Posted by Sinatra on Jul-06-2006 19:27:

Agreed.. Cannavaro has been outstanding lately especially without Nesta next to him.

Frank Ribery has been good for France also..
