Also what you have to consider is the DJM 500 does not have headphone mix so you cant hear the mix in your headphones..so if you mix in your headphones do not get the DJM 500.. The DJM 600 has headphone mix.

youd think for 700$ you'd get that basic feature...

You can listen to your mix on your headphones on the DJM500, just push the cue buttons for both channels and listen to both tracks at the same time, why waste $700 for a little cue fader? The $700 dif is basically for the built in sampler, the extra fx, and maybe because the DJM600 looks sexier LOL!

I would suggest taking a look at the Xone 464 mixer by Allen & Heath, a really good top of the line mixer as well.

the sampler is cool.. if you haven't used it then u prolly think its worthless, but if you get it, its fun to play w/..

yah...if u dont really need the sampler effects, Allen & Heath's are an alternative...xone 464's are HUGE tho..effin tanks. i'd just get a xone 62. those are about the same as a DJM600. and the EQ is split up into 4 channels, instead of 3: 1 hi, 2 mids, and 1 bass, which is good for prog, if u spin that stuff.
just my 2 cents hehe

how much is the xone 62?

They list for about $1099USD, that's the cheapest I found online. But not a lot of places stock the Xone62. I just bought a DJM600 instead.
