Reversed vocals?

Some of you trancey types might remember:

Sonorous - Protonic used to be thought to be sung in a foreign language, until someone reversed the vocals and found it was just spoken english, with some dozy tart warbling on about a new life forever and seeing stars n shit.

Anyone else know of any funny happenings when vox are reversed?

i dont remember Protonic having any vocals, i should probably go back and listen to it considering i havent heard it in a looooong time. on another note, was listening to Bruised, Battered & Broken the other night, it definatly pwned me. i think its my favorite mix of yours.

this thread reminds me of little nicky when they play the record backwards..wasn't there some britney spears song where she's saying fuck me backwards?

Posted by chojin on Jul-07-2006 09:12:

i remember reading somewhere air for life was a backwards vocal...

Posted by RickyM on Jul-07-2006 10:50:

Yeah it is a reversed one, if you listen to Andy Moor - Halcyon backwards it says something like 'All this time'...

I have a very cool live version of Orbital - Halcyon & On & On. The track gets mixed with Bon Jovi's - You give love a bad name and with Berlinda Carlyle's - Heaven is a place on earth. It all sounds very nice and smooth and after a while, the vocals of the latter are reversed. Sounds amazing really. It all fits so well.

hmm i never knew that about the vocals... but the Ronski Speed remix of Protonic is such a sick song.

Orbital- Halcyon & On & On
Andy Moor tunes most often have reversed vocals.
