Jimmy Kimmel - Does anyone watch this show?
I rarely watch this show - but i was soooooooo pooped last night , so I watched Jimmy Kimmel live
source
He was bite by a rattle snake, a 30 foot one at that!! on live TV. He had a guest, that was showing of extinct animals, jimmy looked nervous
and the bear cat (I never knew of this animal, just google it!), anyways then this HUGE ass extinct bird, then next came out this rattle snake and jimmy jokingly says "that snake doesn't like me" and the fukker bite him, although he was on a leash and everything, the tammer (is that what they are called?) was holding onto the snake with a strong leash and was not able to obviously control the rattle-fukker! So paramedics came and he was rushed to the hospital on live TV.
I didn't know if it was for real, since he kinda a comedian! so I watched and it seemed real! So then the show was moved to the hospital room. deluxe ER TV!! Anyways, sweating and gown and all this episode was by far the best jimmy kimmel show i have ever seen!
thanks for reading!
ciao 4 now!
terrible pic i know, but anyways

| most people are saying it's a hoax but when i saw it, it looked real to me. i think it looked real because of jimmy's and the audience's reactions, and the band members coming up on stage. people say it's a fake because if you look closely, the handler smiles after jimmy gets bit. also, it wasn't reported on cnn or all the major newscasts after the show's taping. if it is a hoax, jimmy kimmel must be really really desperate for ratings. |
whoa... if its not real, then they all did a really good job of acting.
but i gotta say, its a bit weird that they moved the show to the hospital... thats what kinda makes me think its fake...
EDIT: whats kinda funny about this is the dumb question Kimmel askes before he gets bit.. "what does it mean when the tail goes like that?" (REACHES OUT and points) lol... its common knowledge that it means the snake is pissed/in attack mode.
after watching the video a few times, it does look kinda fake... looks like that handler raised the snake up towards kimmel really fast making it look like it bit... also the camera angle changes are just too perfect for a live show. the camera changed angles like 3 times in the few seconds it took the snake to bite.
Wow that's INSANE!!!

| Originally posted by Cosmic Fur Exactly. Fake. A snake recoils so fast you don't even see the ****** coming, much less be able to switch the camera to another one. If you guys ever watched Discovery when they do a piece on snakes, you'll know they bite so fast that the cameras can't even catch it - it's just "snake, blur, snake". |

| Originally posted by *~LiSa-LoO~* I don't doubt it's fake...but is it possible that this is not a live show? Thus all the cameras could be rolling the entire time...and when they go to edit the video they just take shots from each camera...whichever caught it best? |

Q:A few weeks ago, Jimmy Kimmel was allegedly bitten by a poisonous snake on his late night show and taken to the hospital, but nothing was said about this incident. Was he really bitten by a snake, or was this a put on?
-- Jim, Ligonier
Rob: According to a publicist, that was a stunt that Jimmy did for a special "Grey's Anatomy" show that aired on May 15 to coincide with the finale of "Grey's."
The bit was that Jimmy had an animal expert on the show and one of his snakes bit Jimmy, who was then rushed to the "hospital" and was "treated" by James Pickens Jr. (Chief Webber) and Chandra Wilson (Dr. Bailey), the publicist explained.
"Jimmy then interviewed them from his hospital bed," the publicist explained, noting there was never a real snake bite. "Jimmy is fine."

prediction: this incident will actually lower ratings, and kimmel will be out of work by the fall television season.

July102006 Is Jeremy Clarkson Dead? We received this e-mail from a tipster this afternoon: I have it from a friend whose friend owns a ranch in Portugal that poor Jeremy Clarkson is dead, victim of a horse accident during a stunt. The accident happened on a ranch [nearby]. The incident is being hushed up for now because of big legal implications. Holy shit. If this is true, we truly cant believe that Clarksons gone. Although we often disagreed with the Top Gear presenter, we loved his wit and his way with a turn of phrase. He was one of the truest scholars ever to comment on motoring, as well as one of the funniest. He was spotted yesterday at the Cornbury Festival in the UK, but lets face it, its not a long flight from Blighty to Portugal. If this turns out to be true, look for a full obit penned by all Jalopnik staffers. The man was truly one of the giants of the industry. Stay tuned. Well keep you posted. |
