Hello everyone! I was introduced to trance a few months ago and I haven't been able to stop listening to it since!!! I absolutly love this music and my favorite so far has been anything by Paul van Dyk. I have a small collection consisting of prolly 200 tracks, mostly from the same few DJ's, but I'm looking to hear from anyone who has a suggestion about who I should check out!!! 
Also if there is anyone out there around the Chicago/Milwaukee area that parties, I love to meet new people, and I want to party...I just don't know where to begin looking. I went to a few parties a few years back with some friends who have since then moved away. I'd love to here from anyone out there who would be willing to give me some guidence! ...Sugarbean

that's what I did.. ever since Robert Miles - children, and Binary Finary - 1998, i just started listening to all sorts of trance. whether it was through mp3s, or at the cd store or whatever..

Just go buy big names albums productions like MOS (sometimes I find MOS' albums sux coz the other CD would be contaminated with Garage and House) Gatecrasher, Slinky, Cream, Ibiza series, Clubber's Guide, Trance Nations. Keep visiting your fav music store and spend time listening through tracks after tracks albums after albums. Get friends who share your addiction. Take some Cokes LOL (JK). Buy albums from your fav DJs. Remember, NO PIRACY, we want quality =).

I got into Trance about a year ago when I moved from Boston to Chicago . . if you live in the Chicago area , you definetly need to go downtown to the Virgin Superstore , they always have a bunch of CD you can listen to. There are too many different DJ's and sounds for other people to tell you what's good and what's not. Just go down to the store on a saturday and spend a couple of hours down there .

P.S:Go buy magazines for electronica, like Ministry, Muzik, DJ, etc. I prefer UK mags though =). Ministry Mag is the bomb. By buying those mags you can know more titles & DJs, check out the charts, new realeses, reviews =)
