A while back I got on someones case pretty badly for their behavior on a forum. They somehow got very frightened and felt compelled to send me a message to try and fix the situation. Actually they begged of me not to ban them .

Actually it was a mistake on my part and many others as well.
He was demoted from mod in the COR ( apparently ?! but there's a very grey area about that so don't take my word for it ).
Not sure if it changes anything with him being able to edit close delete threads.

But he is apparently still in charge of parts of TA:

I see. Would you have to do something special to become a mod or just have a lot of common sense, dedication, intuition, intelligence, responsibility, and be able to handle your own issues and battles? Not to mention be able to hand out advice and be friendly and respectable towards the other TAs?
