Got there with Sam around 12:30. Met up with Tyler and Max. ATB was spinning some great tunes I was really getting into it until Guv did what they do best. The place became so crammed I was about to say fuck this and leave.
But then....a light at the end of the tunel. Access to Gallery was open! Stayed there for the remainder of the night and danced my ass off! We left around 3:15.
Hope everyone is having a great time!
Happy birthday Mr. Enhanced!
crowd in Guv - 0/10 (as usual, very pushy)
music in Guv - 9/10
crowd in Gallery - 7/10 (lotsa space, but a few really sketchy people that were pissing me off)
music in Gallery - 10/10 (Ghostbusters FTW!)

agree with Stingray. I got to Guv around 12 and Mark was spinning some good tones. then it became so crowed around 1am when ATB on. i hate that people keep walking through and pushing me around while i am in my trance mood. I left around 3:15 shortly after ATB finished.
and guys taking their shirt off. fuck that the worst thing i want to do is to rubbing against a shirtless man ;/
the music was great. I would have a great time if weren't for the crowd.
I didn't see any TAs and not that I know any
where is the gallery ?
Honestly, besides the crowd, ATB's set was everything I could have hoped for. The only possible addition I could see was maybe 9PM or My Dream but maybe thats asking a bit too much LOL
What time is Scumfrog... I might show up if I see other TAs are going to somehow roll out of bed and make their way over :P
And ditto... I didn't see any TAs... but I don't know any either. :/

Bah, posting my pic would be the logical thing to do... who cares about logic
Also, re: 9pm... he had the guitar riffs going... the crowd was going wild for them... he SHOULD have dropped 9PM :P

Lets see, my first time in Toronto. I technically came up here mainly for this show and stayed extra few days to explore the city and stuff.
My review of the night:
The good:
Music was great, the warm up DJ did a great job. ATB's set was amazing, I really enjoyed it.
Access to the bar! In Boston the drinking age is 21 and Im a few years short so the 19 drinking age is pretty exciting.
The biggest club Ive been to so far. The different rooms are cool.
The bad:
Some toughshit trying to start a fight with me because his butt buddy pushed me by accident and I spilled my beer on the floor. I really wasnt in the mood to start any shit so I told him to relax and that life is beautiful
The place was too crowded
In the end it was good times, danced my ass off
Im off to bed now
TRANCE...IT AIN'T OVER YET!
PHOTOS
Video coming soon!
Next stop James Z!

Alright...
Time for a review, I haven't written one in a while so lets hope I do this right.
On a trance night, you can usually expect to hear some good but mainstream trance from Mark Oliver, tonight... there are no words to describe the warmup and the finisher he pulled off. If ATB wouldn't have played, this night would still be in my top 5 this year.
Showed up at 12:30, MO was still doing his warmup set, ATB came on at 1 and had the place blastin' a few mins later. As usual, center stage between the two front speakers in front of the cryo-cannon was a mosh pit, so we didnt stick around there that long. We retreated to the back, where I was dancing on the center pedestal for the REST of the night. Didn't see many TA's .. cuz I dont know any :S. Except for Infinite Eclipse, and a few buddy's of his. Hung out with him for alot of the night, wicked guy !!! All around, stayed in the main room all night, which is rare. I usually find myself hitting the Gallery to see Addy, near the ending point.
Tunes of the night :
MO : Mike Foyle feat. Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk
MO : Super 8 VS Dj Tab - Helsinki's Scorchin
MO : And of course... he plays it everytime but Rank 1 - Airwave
ATB : Above and Beyond - Can't Sleep
ATB : Kyau VS Albert - Kiksu
ATB : Smith and Pledger - White
I must now rest, must be at King Street party at 2pm for the FIFA FINAL.
Well I just got home...
Mark oliver owned me lastnite. i was having so much fun that i stayed till the very end.
Highlight of the nite would be hearing "motorcycle - as the rush comes" in the main room! ...
I am not gonna see guvernment since i am leaving canada for the rest of summer...which is sad
p.s I'm so tired...need some rest
what a great time i had, first time seeing atb live, always liked the livesets tho. we had a great spot to the left of the dj booth area in front of the stage there was enough room to dance and not too much traffic, although almost got into it with a guy coming form the bathroom, when he decided it would be a good idea to put his elbows out at face level and just start charging through. other than that, the only other problem i had was that there was only the one bathroom....not fun when you are out on the patio and the cold does that thing where it makes you have to go...like immediatly..haha.
atb played a great set, when mark was on before i was kinda feeling it, but after atb finished, and he went back on, wow, he played some wicked tunes, motorcycle - as the rush comes....this tune got me into female vocals in trance...loved it!
by about 3ish my girl was feeling drained so i was with her most of the night by the doors, the smoke kinda bothers her, but that was cool with me i was still dancing my ass off in a dark corner with her taking a quick break.
on a sidenote, me and my girl were on the big stage dancing and there was a guy taking pictures, and i got him to take a picture of us, im hopeing he posts here and i get to see the pic...unfortunately my RAZR just doesnt do the job for non flash photography.
last thing, hope that poor guy who puked on the bank machine is doing ok, looked like he was in rough shape!
overall for the night
crowd 6/10 - that guy really upset me, no need to push champ
music 10/10 - was great all hits no misses, gj atb and mark!
overall 9/10 - had a great time out as usual
going on 4 hours sleep but meh whatever!
edit: the main thing i really liked was that on that large stage thing, the music wasnt in your face loud, so my ears arent bleeding today which is nice
I would like to apologize for MIA. Was extremely exhausted last night plus some family stuff came up... Slept for 11 hours... still feeling like crap.
Thank u for txt's and calls! hope everyone had a blast!

Video:
haha, just the streaks of light!
AT Fuckin B!!!!
that is the most melodic set anyone is going to get this whole year with the exception of possibly MO's 'the gift!!!' i definately got my melodic trance fix last night, ATB was amazing, great tunes from start to finish including a lot of his own material. I'm amazed how many ppl left so early. I left around 3:45 since my gf had to work at 10, but so wish i coulda stayed much later, MO was delivering when ATB came off. My only request would of been for ATB to of spun a longer set. I definately can't wait til hes back.
I'll put together a bit of a Tracklist:
ATB - Ecstasy
ATB - Hold You
ATB - Let U Go
ATB - Marrakesh (mashed with a sample from 9pm til i come
crowd went wild)
Kyau vs. Albert - kiksu
Jonas Steur - Silent Waves
Brian Adams - Don't give up (Chicane Remix)
Smith & Pledger - White
Above & Beyond - Can't Sleep (ATB Remix)
Guisseppe Ottaviani - Linking People
thats all i can think of right now...MO also dropped 'open your eyes' and 'cafe del mar' immediatly following his set, it was to bad i had to leave right after cafe del mar.
I loved how ATB and the crowd were so into it. The crowd was going crazier then for Armin on Wednesday. I definatley look forward to ATB's return!
i'm kicking myself for not going right now
it looked like an event worth skipping projects over
Terrible. Worst dj i've ever seen there.
First of all, he could not mix. I don't think he successfully mixed a single track. He let the songs run to the end, and then he'd just put a new one on, making the bass louder or something like that.
Second, he was completely fucked on something, like he was clapping to the music at one point and HE WAS CLAPPING OFF BEAT!! I think that if he's required to mix two things that have a beat, that would constitute a problem. The contracts the dj's sign with the clubs should have a clause stipulating that if the dj shows up messed up, or gets messed up during the set, he doesn't get paid. End of story. Whatever happened to professionalism??
Thirdly, track selection was TERRIBLE. He kept playing songs that were just no good, like boring euro stuff, with celine dion type vocals.. ICK!!! Also, he was not building a set, he was all over the place, practically zero flow.
Fourthly, the crowd as the sketchiest I've ever seen, and I've been to quite a few guv events. And even then, it seemed like the energy in the room was ultra low.
I ended up leaving with my friends at around 3ish, or at the moment he played a shit remix of "let you go".
Overall, I give atb a 0/10. Completely abysmal, and even the two popular tracks he did play didn't get me going. I don't EVER want to see this guy again, and I feel bad for what seemed like a lot of people for whom this seemed to be their first contact with trance music.
