VIDEO: The assault on Sensation Black 2006

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqn4bTglG3Q

Supposedly someone tried to play metal/rock crap during this trance event and got beaten down , not that I condone beatings but they did wrong

Posted by Candeeman on Jul-10-2006 19:13:

WOW! I guess, nobody wanted to help the poor guy, huh?

Posted by Ted Promo on Jul-10-2006 20:19:

Sensation Black isn't trance. It's shit. And/or hardstyle. Whichever.

*admits to listening to hardstyle on rare, raaaare occassions*

Posted by isoterra on Jul-10-2006 20:29:

the 'warmup' set is normally some form of tech/hard trance, that's about where it ends

doing the beating by the looks of it

the guy getting the shit kicked out of him is a stage invader.

Posted by s3nate on Jul-11-2006 03:15:

I saw all of this happen on the video stream.

What happend is almost everyone hated what Rob Gee was playing (basically heavy metal with those stupid hardstyle type kicks) and they got boo'ed after every song.

I guess one raver got so fed up with the bullshit he jumped on the stage and took a few swings at the band members. After that he got tackled to the ground and proceeded to get shit kicked. As Rob Gee was leaving the stage the whole place erupted in cheers.

The guy that got shit kicked is now pressing charges.

Pathetic. Moron for jumping on stage. Should have stuck to boo-ing.
Boo-Urns.

Posted by TazZ-erT on Jul-11-2006 03:50:

My friends were at this event and they said that most of the people at the event sat down in protest of the music some threw drinks but they still didnt stop so the guy got up on stage an did that.

Rob Gee and his band members have been fined 2,500 each an the guy who got the beating is pressing charges

hahaha
boo-urns!! boo-urns!!

man kicking someone in the head like that when they are down is pretty lame, especially in that situation, like they just jumped on the stage and had a dodgy swing at the guy...

a wonderful tribute to the power alcohol music has on people.

although... i guess I'd be pissed too ..

Posted by Ishkur on Jul-11-2006 14:20:

Wow.

Rob Gee is my hero.

If you're not pissing off your audience, you're not doing your job. There is nothing in this world more offensive than pandering, which is part of the problem with trance DJs.

I'd love to hire Tiesto or Armin for a set, under contractual instructions that they play all jungle or breaks. Just to see the looks on people's faces.

And piss off thousands of people who flew across the globe and spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars to see a hard style show only to get something else instead. Yay!

Rob Gee might not have deserved that punch, but the people behind sensation certainly deserve much worse for booking him.
