Don't..and I repeat..don't read those Supersaw-Threads or you'll sound like 9 million other 'producers' on the board here
I refuse to reply to a thread titled "oingt".
Doh!
To tell you the truth deekay, the supersaw really isn't THAT popular anymore...at least like in the early 2000's. If anything, it's the guitar with all this guitar trance lately. I mean it sounds nice and everything and I don't have a problem with it, but hey it's what "9 million other producers" on this board are doing.
I think some people worry too much about what others are doing wether it be to copy it or avoid it. Just make the damn music how you wonna.

Theres nothing wrong with copying someone else in order to learn how they build a certain sound or combine a number of different sounds. We all do it.
First thing you learn on piano are other people's songs. First thing you learn when painting portraits is how to accurately copy the human face on paper. Its part of the learning process. Never listen to anyone who tells you not to build a sound because its cliched or popular. Treat it as a learning experience and its all good.
Here we go again, im just hate these people saying. "supersaws is not popular anymore", "supersaws will sound like everyone else".
This is just bullshit. Lets take one example, enyone heard Seulu Vibra - Devine or Stargaizing?, one of this year trance top tracks. What is one of the key elements? A supersaw.
And i hate, to see that some producers struggle so hard to get that "uniqe" sound, track after track, trying to get signed, but will never get there.
If you have a killer track, keep it "simple" and dont overload it with fx, and 20 layers of sounds, i will just kill your killer track.
I personally think that a really good supersaw gives the track that extra kick and energy.
And correct me if im wrong, but isnt the fact that most remixes of good tracks contains a "phat" supersaw? and why come thats all these remixers are so famous, if the supersaw sound is out?
I have a supersaw in all my productions, and it allways works for the people that are going to listen to it, cus i dont aim to impress people at TA or other forums, cus that is a endless road. No, im aim to impress the labels and get people to dance.
One other thing, should i go out and buy a pair of white sneakers, just becuse it said so in a fashion mag? why, there will be a new fashion next month?
Get it? no? well, then think about it!
Cheers
