Can anyone give me suggestion on...
club/lounge speakers? what are some brands and good/decent speakers to use for playing EDMs in a ....lets say 2000sq feet area. Thanks!
It all depends on what you want to spend.
If you got abit of money then look at Electro Voice and Mackie. If youv got about average then look at maybe some Yamahas or some Altos. If your on a budget look at Behringers.
Mackie SRM 450's and the subs.
Turbo Sound FTW
Turbosound is very pricey
These sound pretty harsh IMO.

I like them, although they are quite lively in th top end, nothing a bit of eq can't fix
Most PA type speakers sound harsh within a few feet.
PA speakers mostly have horn tweeters.
Iv realised with the purchase of a PA I should have baught an EQ.

btw, the club speakers might be too much for my place. Need something smaller than club speakers but awsome quilty. budget around USD-20000
If you have a $20,000K Budget, then you can easily afford EAW's Avalon Series speakers.

How many people are you expecting? Do you plan on opening a commercial night club? Or do you just want speakers for a few partys? If it's the second renting might be a smarter and far cheaper choise. See how things go before breaking the bank. ![]() If you want speakers that sound shit hot can go loud enough for a home get genelecs mainfields. The best monitors in the world. www.genelec.com (just read the specs nothing compares) These are designed for large broadcast studios, acoustic research, mastering ect. You can drive these mother******s really loud like till the threshhold of pain but they still maintain breathtaking clarity. Sasha has the 1037s or 38s in his studio as spotted in the involver picture (the ones sunk in his wall lol). Good luck on your research and I sure hope you live in the middle of nowhere because with a 20k speaker setup you are going to get sued for noise polution! |
