It's only beneficial if you have your music you want to share by posting bulletins to all those "friends". Then it's good to have a big network.

with the exception of a few TA's and maybe 3 famous DJ's on my friends list like Omid16B, Desyn Masiello, and Timo Maas, everyone on my list are people I actually know, or knew at some point (like old high school/middle school friends).
