Shooting @ Crobar last night

Has anyone been there on a Thursday (and will admit it )? How's security? Lately, I've been getting searched pretty thoroughly on Fridays and Saturdays, even the pocketwatch pocket, so how does someone sneak in a gun? I know they start at like 5 PM for afterwork, so I'm wondering if it's because of lax security early on in the night when they don't expect problems.

Why wouldn't you think they'd go through this? I'm waiting for the same thing to happen at Pacha, to be honest (hopefully not when I'm there tonight). These places that open up for hip hop nights ask for it. Guns are a part of the hip-hop culture, just listen to lyrics. That's why places that only cater to that crowd have strict searches, at the least, if not metal detectors.

We met up with some of Christina's friends at Jay-Z's sports bar, 40/40, and I was surprised to get searched there, since it's not a club but a sports bar, but on second thought, it made complete sense.

Hip hop Thursdays at Crobar seem pretty popular. We've never gone, but we pass it on the way to BED, and there is usually a long line down the street, more so than on the weekends. There are also more SUVs, limos, and cops than on Friday or Saturday night.

They are. I read another story with more info. They both got hit with the same bullet (in the leg) and didn't even realize until they were by the 2nd floor coat check. One got hit in the calf, the other in the leg. Probably just flesh wounds from a small caliber bullet, which if it was a cell-phone gun, is probably the case since I think they're all .22s.

The club was briefly closed but since reopened.
