Minaya State of Muzik June 2006

Back again with the June installment of State of Muzik

I decided to open up with a track I found while searching through celebrity playlists on Itunes while I was bored one night. I just happened to stumble across this and fell in love with it. Has a real old 80's synthpop feel and puts a huge smile on my face everytime I hear it.

Now right into a new track off of Junkie XL's Today album. Its everything you expect from Tom..signature kick and uplifting guitars with feel good written all over it.

Pillow One is also known as Maori Levi and under Maori he produces banging tech-trance/techno tracks but under Pillow One he produces some of the finest progressive trance around and this remix of the classic track Burma is no exception.

Gabriel & Dresden recently came out with their self titled album and got tons of great feedback. Although I do like most of the tracks on their I give them the most credit for their interpretation of non dance floor classic Dust in the Wind.

I've played Helsinki Scorching live since I've first got my hands on it. Plain and simple a dancefloor killer.

Funabashi has a signature sound and for some reason it always works but this remix he's done stands out from the bunch

Starting off a round of new tracks from Ferry is a very beautiful track titled Beautiful..an old school trance feel with Ferry's electro touch.

I Love You was something Ferry did for himself. He recorded his wife on vocals and planned on keeping the track for himself but the response was overwhelming so he included it as a bonus track on his L.E.F. cd = )

The track named after his new cd. The track name explains it all..Loud Electronic Ferocious

Here's a song I didnt take a huge liking until I saw Ferry use it at EDC and witness its effect and it was incredible <(^^<)

I usually am not big on including old classics in mixes unless its an updated remix but after my friend pulled this out on his computer not too long ago I realized how ahead of its time it sounded and couldnt resist putting in. Mind you this track was released in 1997 and it still sounds fresh.

The lyrics from this song always stay in the back of my head and I though this month I would share what I consider G&D's best remix to date.

To finish it all of is a song I heard in the trailer for Shopgirl. Very emotional and unique song. Lay back and think about whats going on in your life during this one it just might make ya smile ; )

Enjoy! (download link in the title right click and save as = ) )

Hey thanks for this.

I want to know a particular song from this set, but i don't know what it is called.

I'm listening to it on winamp raidio at this very minute.

The song i want id-ing is kind of like a progressive tune, with kinda like bells playing out quite loud. There also another song i want id-ing too, which is the song before this.

Thanks.
