I'm thinkin of using that Madonna song as my true tone (ie. when someone calls me, instead of it the normal ringing noise for them, it'll play the song while they wait for me to pick up).

As for rings go...

I have Tiesto - Traffic
Deepdish - Say Hello (Love that as my ring haha)
Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes (I use for my alarm, nice song to wake up to).
ATB - 9am
DHT - Listen to your heart (use for a specific chick who loves that song)
DJ Axel - Crazy Frog
ATC - Around the World (love that as a tune)
Benny Benassi - Satisfaction

where'd you get say hello from??

I have NO idea where to get free ring tones! Haha I'm definalty not gonna pay $3 for some ring tone though. My phone has MP3 capabilities, so Cale suggested making an MP3 clip that I want as my ring tone. That way it's good quality too! I just haven't gotten around to it yet - and he has to show me. He did a really good cut of Endless Wave. If anything, I'd probably have a Ferry song!

Right now I'm not sure what it's on, but some one that came with my phone...plus all the personalized ring tones.

My one friend had this really cool phone where you could use sound clips. So when certain friends would call it would be a clip of them saying for example "Pick up your phone...come on...I know you're there!" I was in lab one day with her and I could hear voices coming from her bag and I was like "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT AND WHO IS IN YOUR BACKPACK!"

I uploaded it myself.
The quality isn't great, but I can convert any MP3 in a compatible audio file for the ringtone and upload it through a program to my cellphone.

Now if my cellphone was capable of MP3s, that would be awesome as I could upload any song I want.

Go to

http://www.freeringers.net and it a site where you pay a one-time membership fee, I paid $10US back in the day. This site doesn't really give you ringtunes, but there is a search where you can find polyphonic ringtunes that you can upload to your phone through WAP. It also will upload pictures and screensavers and games too. It has programs that'll show you how to convert songs so they'll be compatible with your phone.
I have a package w/ Bell where I can get unlimited web browser which includes 1X digital downloading, so I can download as much as I want for free! I think the regular cost is $50 for around 1mb, so its pretty expensive if you don't have a plan.

Andy Moor - Halcyon
Blank & Jones - Mind of The Wonderful
Luminary - Amsterdam
Offspring - Pretty Fly for a white guy
Kuffdam & Plant - Summerdream
Raffi - Banana Phone

I rotate among these depending on my mood. The last one usually gets everyone around me looking at me funny. Quite Hilarious

and get phones that are unlocked and able to play MP3's as ringtones.

*Middle Finger* to Rogers and all other Dictatorship run cell phone services who charge for everything. I am not paying a rediculous amount just to have the shitty songs the put out on my phone.

I know what you about damn companies charging for everything. I think it costs me $10/month with Bell for unlimited web browser, but it comes w/ other features such as xx free text messagse and other stuff. But I try and use my unlimited browser as much as I can. I think one month I would've had over $600 worth of browsing charges!

Funny (well for me, probably not for you, but I'll share anyway) story about these ringtones - I usually change them about once a month, and I remember one day (just after I switched to Sunset On Ibiza), I was walking through the UTM campus, near the student centre, and I hear the melody of Sunset On Ibiza. My interest piqued, I try to find out where it is. Walk back and forth (I have my ringtone set as 'increasing ring', so I'd walk in one direction and it'd get stonger, I'd walk in a totally different one, and it'd get stronger still) trying to find it, nada. Finally giv eup on trying to find out who was playing Trance, and only then realise it was my phone. >_<

haha you paid $3.50 for those hahaha

Posted by mazzarin on Jul-17-2006 06:11:

My sweet ringtone is a clip from locust - aerospace (probspot remix)

By the way, if anyone wants me to clip them a ringtone from a mp3 or whatever... hit me up on aim or msn (you can pm me and i'll let you know).

As long as you don't want like 20 different clips, I'll do it

How to get it from computer to phone is yours to figure out though.

Since I got my Sony-E w600i a couple of months ago, ringtunes are no longer a costly problem. With today's MP3 phones, you just file-transfer any mp3 on your phone's memory/stick, and voil, your ringtone.

I current have Tarzan's yell on right now. I have Harold&Kumar's bong bubbling when I'm with the right crowd. I have a horse neighing when my mom calls (she raises horses). I have a cow mooing, but don't ask me who calls when it rings.

When I feel devilish, I use a looping girl orgasms clip, which I enjoy watching the different reactions I get from people around me.

Evermore - It's Too Late
Jose Zamora & Damian - Transatlantic

I've had an mp3 cellphone for a while and have Say Hello as my usual ringtone. Dripping Wet by DJ Irene for txt messages and PVD-Homage as the ringtone for my hunny

I use an mp3 cutter and just transfer them onto my phone. I would never pay for ringtones...rather just buy a usb cable for those that don't have bluetooth and transfer them.

Posted by Abercrombie on Jul-18-2006 15:30:

^^^^ good point. If your phones have infrared or bluetooth, it's FREE to share your ringtones with friends!
