Review: Zabiela @ Boom Boom Room July18

well....take a wild guess.....

absolutely great...

We initially had an issue with a ride there and back but somehow, everything fell together and we made it to windsor...

a big thanks to Remo and Ronaldo from Boom Boom Room for everything they did for us....much appreciated guys...this is where top notch hospitality comes around.

The Club (from what parts of it were open last night) was rather sweet...nice, intimate and the crowd was lovely as everyone was having a blast.

only TA i happened to bump into was Jayx1 (guys hes actually quite non-bitchy and cool in person...lol)

now onto that James guy....if it werent for "someone" spilling beer all over the front of the dancefloor, i wouldve injured myself dancing too much...heh

pics and more reviews to come later...need to freshen up after the "long" drive back...hahaha(not used to road trips here)

AWESOMENESS is a good way to sum up the nite

Got down to windsor with gavin, liam, peter, and peri around 10:30 & got to the club a little b4 11.

Great atmosphere at the club- very intimate, cool crowd ( minus the sunglasses stealing people), and great dj's

Nice meeting you Waseem- nice tracks, and thankx for the hat

James- you never disappoint with your sets-definately worth the drive up from Toronto. As I said, ur energy is just stellar

Great meeting the windsor crew of peeps- see you at the guv next time!..and as liam said, big thankx to ronaldo & remo

JZ's set.......ugh I hate giving negative reviews, but honestly.....probably the worst set I've ever heard

Gladly the freindly familiar faces at the Boom Boom Room brightened my mood

I think his set was great. The problem was that the bass on the sound system was really distorted so you couldnt really get a good feel for the tracks that were being played. The set itself though was really good IMO.

Boom boom room is a fun club. Its really nice looking and remo and renaldo have done a really good job turning that space into something to look at. Not to mention the fact that they are actually bringing these djs to windsor. My only complaint is the sound. Maybe im just spoiled by toronto systems but they need to jack up the sound in there, at least on the special nights.

Overall i recommend making the trip. The crowd was making more noise and was way more hyper than any crowd ive recently seen in toronto. Lets put it this way, the few hundred people crowd at times in windsor made more noise than 2000 people would in toronto!! And everyone is just some damned friendly! And you cant beat the cover charges. I think it was $10 for zabiela... $10!!! Where else in the world can you hear a top rated dj with such a small intimate crowd for $10???

I found it kind of boring and reptitive. The start was really cool to see, but when he'd stop in the middle of a track and do it, it totally through me off. I do understand why people love his set. Damit we did bring in more sound, for some reason we just cant get it right!!!!!!!!!!! I have a pro coming in 2 weeks from ACS to take a look at things. This will be rectified cause its driving me bonkers!!!
