"ALL GO NO SHOW" or "ALL SHOW NO GO"???????????

WHich would you rather have? A car with good speed but less than mediocre looks -or- a car with less than mediocre speed with good looks?

Car can be stock, or modified, whichever is fine.

all go and no show....ive seen k cars smoke mustangs

apparently on the web there's supposed to be a video of a modified honda beating a ferrari

for me rice all the way

i'll take all show no go.

I've had all go no show before, and to be honest, you don't really use all that power that much at all... save for the track. And as you get older, you street race less and less until you don't do it anymore. At my age, i'd rather have a diesel Mercedes S class with 20's than a '88 CRX that does 12's.

So yeah, all show no go. I'm in the comfort zone baby!

id go for performance as well. i wouldnt drive a complete hunk of shit just because it was fast tho - well except for my dads race car. i generally think that shit looks stupid with huge wings and shit when it cant even hit 120 much less a speed that requires downforce. i generally consider myself in the class where a car should be nice looking, but clean - with performance that is decent, but at least fun to drive. tuner cars *may* be a little, or rarely a lot faster, but in general i dont feel the need to slap a stage III turbo on an econobox. late/

all SHOW....i dont care about go....well i do but i would rather have looks....thats why my car looks cool but does the 1/4 in 26secs flat on slicks...LOL

well also as clarification i dont give a fuck about drag racing. to me real racing talent is being able to turn AND go fast, not just in a straigh line shiats...late/

I will go for "All Go All Show" and i know what car i will have!

what? no way man, i love wrx's and lancers. i test drove a 2002 wrx and the guy let me open her up on highway, kick ass car. the only sedan i woulda considered buying. i really like that rally look so i think it's still looks pretty good

i hate to say it but my car is going the way of the rice.
for xmas, i got like a bunch of kinda cheesy stuff (LED washer nozzles, and powered by acura seatbelt pads and stuff) and i've gotta put them on otherwise i'll hurt my friends feelings. and now i'm getting probably getting altezza's this weekend only because i'm getting the cheap. oh well, what the hell. personally i think people who say they hate that stuff are liars

well i don't even have my liscense yet but i'm 16 and if im getting expelled theres no way i'm getting a car but my mom said shes gonna get me an e46 3 and i'm gonna make it everything acs...first wheels then suspension then kit...but im told that an e36 m is more fun but my mom probably wont' get it because it'll have to be used

what did u do to lower it? what do u think of h&r coilovers?

to lower it i used H&R Coilovers (Height & Dampening Adjustement) and Suspension Techniques Drop Forks and Suspension Techniques Pro-Arms...just for the drop...i have other suspension mods also but they dotn effect how low it is...

well you better start calling me a liar b/c i think those clear tails are downright UGLY!

The whole point of doing those things (and the windshield washer nozzles & seatbelt pads) was to customize your car & be different.

BUT EVERYONE IS DOING THEM NOW!!!...

its not customizing if its not different.

I like tiesto14's car.... clean, no stickers, no real rice. But the second you slap a VTEC sticker on there or a "type-R" or "SiR" badge on there, its total shit. There's a ****** around here driving an automatic 2.0 Golf and has VR6 badges on it. I want to beat the shit outta this kid... and he's always the one to race people... so when the Civic HX's beat him, they all think they beat a VR6..... these are the dipshits you gotta look out for.

The only difference is, most of us in the VW crew know our hondas.... i can spot the difference between a Type-R and a integra GSR with kit. I can tell the difference between a Civic EX and LX. I am fully aware of what the B18C-R is capable of.

...and i like these guys that answer the thread "all go AND all show"..... THAT WASN'T ONE OF THE OPTIONS!!! LoL..... if that was, we all would have chosen that! (duh). heheh... i want "no go AND no show".... a 1988 Dodge Reliant should take care of that.

cmon ABT, calm down man...just ggo out, get a blue gsr, some stickers and ggo to work on it. it doesnt matter if theres no engine, the seats arent regulation or you dont have the 5 bolt wheels...hell put ANY sticker you want on a delsol, it would be the shit! its really a calming experience - plus people will be scared of you...or something. late/

well i dont put stickers my car cus i think they look ghetto...also my civic is not a type-r or sir.....and i hate when kids put those stickers on their civics when they dont even make that type of civic in the U.S. ...they jus make themselves look dumb....

yeah, i wouldn't go for stickers either...that's a little misrepresenting. but as for anything else...i'm pretty much in the state of mind...it's your car, do what u want. there still not that many people with mods (yeah, i know i live in edmonton so there's not too many people period) and so i can get away w/ it

i personally don't care what people do to their cars. its like listening to trance. if they like cheese, leave them be.

I've never been able to understand one thing: What's with Americans & Japanese cars ? I mean here in Europe, ok u have the Toyota Celica & the Mazda RX-7 but that's about it. When people get to talking about real sports cars, they mean Ferrari, Maserati, klp. I mean who in their right mind would buy a Nissan & be proud of it ?I mean, just look at it, look at a pic of a 360 Modena & you'll now what I mean.... This occured to me while watching the movie Fast & Furious which featured only Japanese cars. & I know the guy in the film overtook a Ferrari, but it was a 355 & let's not forget that Ferrari makes better models, including the pinnacle in automobile technology (F2002 anyone ? )
Anywayz to the question asked I'd go for a little bit of both. I think that any car above 200bhp is pretty satisfactory performance wise (depends on weight ofcourse, but assuming we mean a normal car)
I drive a Seat Leon 20VT4 with the engine re-tuned to 225bhp (instead of the original 180). It's a pretty good car, pretty fast on the highway & devilishly fast on mountain roads. When I bought it a had to make the same choice. It was between the Leon & an Alfa Romeo 147 2.0 (150bhp atmospherical engine, the Leon has a 1.8 liter turbocharged). The 147 was about 5000$ more expensive & was more beautiful & had a 5 speed semi-automatic gearbox, but the Leon was more powerful, 4-wheel drive & had a 6-speed manual gearbox. So I chose the Leon & I am pretty satisfied.

dude you have to understand not all of us has 100+ g's to throw around on a car like the ferrari. we would all love to have a modena or some sort. btw i would be pretty damn proud if i owned a nissan skyline.
