Global Underground CDs - Ł4 each in HMV

Did a quick search but can't find anything recently on this and I've been in the US for the majority of this year so hope it isn't old news...

Was in HMV today and noticed every GU CD they had was on sale down to Ł4! Bought everything they had which was GU# 08, 10, 11 14, 17, 19 and 20. Seems all GU is on sale even the Nick Warren Shanghai which was recently released but I already had that

I even managed to use my long expired student ID to get 10% discount on top of that, something I'm sure I didn't used to be able to do!

Technically I was asked if I was in possesion of a student ID card, not if I was student. There is a difference

well done my son. I managed to buy 4 today, and am venturing into Leicester HMV tomorrow to see what they've got.

HMV's got some uber stuff at the minute. Could have easily have done Ł50 today.

The first comment was meant in sheer jest. The 2nd was probably not needed, but so are half the topics posted.

You are right, 10% is petty and not something I am worried about.

If any offence was caused, I do appologise as it was not meant to be that way inclined. I fear I have somewhat lost sight of the original reason for the thread.

glad you have seen the light. I've managed to pick up 5 GU CD's in this sale, all at 100% of their Ł4 tag tho

Well I've been in this situation many times before. I was a ticket inspector for 3 years lol

In Virgin they had shite loads of GU cds was very impressed a lot of the older ones too.

Was it super cheap in Virgin too? The town where I bought them (Newbury, Berks) didn' have any other stores that stock GU....

I checked back each time I passed the store and a few days later I noticed Involver was for Ł4 too (it wasn't by the GU CDs where I first looked) just before I flew back to the US

They were around Ł11 I picked up John Digweed - Syndey, Nick Warren - Brazil, Dave Seaman - Cape Town & the other was Darren Emerson - Uraguay.

Very good choice they had some gems lying around too aswell like John Digweed - Los Angeles & Sasha - Ibiza my two fave GU's.
