attn djs: where are the music store in TO?
i'm looking to start djing as a hobby and i'm looking in to getting some cdj's and a mixer. just something small to start off with but nothing crappy. but where are the stores that sell stuff?
i've googled and nothing.
where do you guys buy your stuff?
thx
keep an eye out for people looking to sell their stuff (usually to upgrade). i ended up finding mine here on TA, and got an amazing deal..... if your looking to start off - i would recommend my set up in a heart beat.
2 X cd-j 200's
1 X behringer djm700
if you look hard enough, you will likely be able to get all three for roughly $750-$900
i think that mixer is a little much to start with.
i was thinking more along the lines of vestax's vmc002.

hmmm...good point.
so now i know to stay away from vestax and numark
so pioneer cdj's and possibly a behringer mixer...hmm
thanks for your help so far guys.
now i know that a store has more products then TA so anyone know of some stores in toronto area?
for mixers, even the pioneers are good...try the DJM-600 for averagely good
or just pay an arm and a leg for the beautiful DJM 800 which zabiela made us drop our jobs showing us the possibilities with it on tuesday
i don't think i'd be wanting to shell out around $1000 for just the mixer. maybe around 3-400. also is 4 channel really needed or can i stick with 2 channel?

| not everyone can afford a Xone 92..lol |

Xone92 goes for 1899. DJM-600 goes for 1599. Not a very big difference once you get to those prices imo. The 600 may have been the standard a couple of years ago, and that price was definately justifiable back then...but there's much better alternatives available nowadays, for the same price or even less.

i'm looking to spend $1000 for everything. (everything as in mixer and 2 cd players.)
http://www.axemusic.com/product.asp...=2145&PT_ID=143 djm-600 is too expensive for me. plus, i don't think i need a 4 channel mixer. 2 channel something simple but with features would be good.
and would a cdj100 be too simple compared to the 200?

and i'm starting to think cdj100's (unless there is a major reason why i should pay a lot more for something else)and possibly this Behringer the DM626.

| Originally posted by Gamma the djm-600 is not a rip off at all. imo one of the best mixers you can get. do you have alot of experience with this mixer, or is it just from word of mouth? the xone is probabaly a little better but it all depends on what you feel comfortable with, and how much money you are willing to spend. |
