4 Strings @ Viva - anyone go??

Any special event @ Viva im interested in checking out, partly because its a 10min drive from my place, but mainly because there's always room to dance.

Last night was pretty cool once again, last 30-45 mins of the opening DJ was the highlight (which doesnt mean much considering the rest of ht enight)of the night for me. 4 strings (1 dude), played some hard stuff, crowd was live (45 year old asians pointing their fingers in the air).

that said, 4 strings should be called 1 string because that's all they seem to have. 90% of their set was a heavy bassline, he played a few uplifting tracks, but 10-15 seconds in, he overlapped it with a bassline.

i decided to end the night early. am i the only one that gets bored of nothing-but-bass?

Jan's (4 strings) set was sooo fuckin awesome,he played some amazing tech trance with lots of energy behind the decks.

He was a very cool guy and he is playing at Monteal tonite.

I hope he comes back again it was a pleasure having him play at Viva.

Tunes of the night:

Delerium - silence (remix)
Dumonde - Tomorrow
4 strings - Jewel (deep remix) <-- this is absolute killer!!!
Matt Darey - Gamemaster

One of the best sets I heard in my life. He just kept on pumping out track, after track, after track. As soon as he played s.o. project-direct dizko (sander van doorn remix), I knew that the set was going to be a stellar one. Jan deserves more credit. Such an amazing person aswell. Spent the whole night chilling with him in the back till he went on. I hope he playes at Trance Energy this year.

The reason why he did the set solo is because Carlo Resoort basically produces their tracks while Jan spins the records.

I give the night a 10/10

Charles needs to smarten up and start booking these dj's in the guv.

How the heck can u find out when the special events happen at viva? (without calling them)
They haven't updated their god dam site in so long.
It's pissin me off.

I really don't wanna miss something spectacular.

you ever been to that website called tranceaddict?

^if you haven't noticed, sometimes these "roll calls" don't spawn up till the event is only a few days away.

i like to have things planned.
i like to book off work the next day after viva so i can use it to sleep.
I can't book off any days unless they are like 2 weeks ahead of time, 1 week is pushing it.

Viva's calendar was very convient, because on the 2nd of the month i'd know of an event going down on the 31st.

I'm surprised there was so much "bassline". I figured 4 strings would be full of uplifting classic trance.
