EDM - new digg like website
I always found it hard to keep up with the latest news in EDM-land. Checking several websites every day is very time consuming. Today I have set up a website "EDM" that I hope will make things easier. It is basically a digg-like user controlled news hub for everything covering Electronic Dance Music. Everybody is able to register and submit links to news/stories/articles/columns/... about Trance, Techno, Progressive, House, etc...
The idea is to have a central and lightweight portal to which everybody and hopefully even producers / dj's will submit LINKS to their content and users are able to promote them. That said, this is NOT a competition to all the existing and great sites. It doesn't produce content but links to it in a very comfortable way, all who know digg should know how it works, everybody else please read the entry on Wikipedia right here.
Given that after some time when it hopefully has a solid userbase with lots of contributors it should be a pretty good place to keep track of the complete EDM scene, with new links submitted to the site very quickly. I encourage everyone to post and link to their content, add comments or write in the forums.
Currently the appearance isn't very nice yet but I'm going to work on that during the next few days. The Google banner on the top is implemented by the host (crispynews) and I do not make money with it. By default the host displays an additional Google banner on the left which will make me some money according to the host. However, I deleted that banner because making money with this website is not my goal.
Please share your opinion about this website and ways to improve it. If you want, you can also help me.

Omega_M, I checked out the website you mentionned, and didn't find much news on the frontpage.
There are a ton of sites about EDM which have information that is not on TA. Not on the frontpage, not in the forums.
I don't think you understand the concept.
Omega... you have to be joking?
It takes a ton of time to be 'up-to-date' on the edm scene, unless you visit the forums constantly all the time, listen, and keep up to date. For those that don't have a ton of times on their hand it would be a great idea.
There are already a lot of site that cover the edm scene (i.e. ivibes, trance.nu etc...), and it wouldn't be such a bad idea, to put it all in one place, and link it all up.
What would be great, is if swamper might let this be put on the main page. Letting all users contribute, to give news as it comes.
I think it's an idea worth developing.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm happy to get such responses
. If you find an article that's interesting somewhere, just post it! You don't even have to register, and the articles that I posted myself usually took me about 1 minute to make.
You can post anything EDM related. Even advertise a party you're organizing. Anything! Because if people don't find your article interesting, they won't click on the 'PROMOTE' button and the article will disappear quickly from the front page.

seems decent...
you just need content/people... which is no small feat
You have to be very careful where you source some information from though, as originating sources might get a bit pissy if theres any plagarism going on.
I just checked the site out and i think it's a great idea
