What are You Currently Reading?

So me and D-res got on the subject of books last night. Almost done with my current read so I'm gonna need to head to the bookstore soon and I'm curious to see what you guys are reading at the moment.

I just finished this one:

Apathy and Other Small Victories by Paul Neilan

annnd now I'm about halfway through this one:

Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer

...this post is so pretty it would get Lance Bass's gay-man approval.

I've read all the books in the middle of your list (except for A Scanner Darkly - Saw the movie), however I did so in English, only. Probably a lot of substance lost in the translation... But I loved the books.

Didn't you read Catch 22 for AP Lit back in HS?

This one was good when it came out in 2003, but a few more years after 9/11, it's kind of scary how much of the fallout he saw coming. As sad as it is to say, no wonder he shot himself.

i liked Running With Scissors better, but Dry is probably one of the best memoirs i've read about alcohol/drug abuse.

i've had this for a while but haven't read it yet...

Whoops! Forgot about this book. I'll be re-reading it shortly because I stopped somewhere in the middle this past winter.

Absurdistan by Gary Shteyngart

The Blank Slate by Steven Pinker <--- recommended reading, a great book on well behavioural and cognotive psychology and why people dont accept the new findings in those fields or why people believe they are too controversial to implement.
