ferry corsten - beautiful
what a track!
anyways, after listening to it loads these last two weeks i have come to a conclusion.
i think ferry is not only an amazing dance music artist but i think its just not possible for the new league of trance producers to keep up. i mean, out of the blue was amazing back in 99 and will always give me that shiver up my back but sounds dated due to overplay.
so ferry goes off and does his album 'right of way'. i thought he had lost what i loved about his music. right of way was kinda cheesy in my mind. an album for the masses imo.
now he releases l.e.f and it includes 'beautiful'. and the track gives me that same shivver that out of the blue gave me back in 99. no other two tracks do that for me.
i had gone off anthemic trance... but ferry's 'beautiful' really recindled my love for 'TRANCE' trance. in a world of trance that tries and tries to sound different, and a world of trance that still tries to be like 99 i think ferry really has come up with the best 'TRANCE' track in ages.
anyways, thanks ferry for doing this track. it makes me feel twice as living inside!
How is Beautiful not utterly horrific cheese? I mean just look at the lyrics:
*from recollection*
everything is beautiful
let the music carry you
baby I will love you foreverrrrrr
no place I would rather be
with you lying next to me
baby I will love you foreverrrrrr
^^god, that pains me to just type, much less think of the crap tune that surrounds those awfully synthesized vocals heliumed out to an annoying array of piercingly shit-tastic chords.

I don't like this track as much as some of the other tracks from L.E.F., but I do enjoy listening to it. Would love to hear a remix that changes the vocals in some way though.
i personally feel its an ok tune. nothing special. it's a bit different that's all. And the music around 3:00 sounds awefully familiar.
i think it's pretty good.. the lyrics are semi-cheese but not too bad

i used to be an avid follower of ferry,
i'm not too keen on this material and his former album,
i think he's been declining since 2002
it needs a klubbheads remix
i like the track... it's "pretty"... but i think "star traveller" will stand out better with time (from right of way).

Well, I think Ferry still puts out a lot of killer tunes but since he does produce a lot, you will also get the bad ones with the good. Cubikated is a nasty song which REALLY stands out for me. I absolutely can't wait to finally here that one on a club system!
I heard beautiful for the 1st time when I saw him back in may. I thought it was an amazing song that night and I still think it's an amazing song. It has a great bassline and the main melodey is great. For me it's one of top 3 songs on L.E.F.

i just mean in general,
ferry's sets have been elctro-rocky over the years,
i can't stand that sound, his sensation set this year was awful
Its all about Cubikated which is a monster,
the rest is well....kinda average to say the least.
Don't get me wrong i love Ferry but this is one of his weaker tracks and definately leans towards the cheesier end of trance. Are you ready is one of my favourite tracks from the new album, it never fails to get me moving and i can't wait to hear it in a club. I've heard Cubikated out quite a few times now and it sounds fantastic on a big system i rarely ever play it at home though. I love you is great as is Galaxia but i definately prefer the original. I should also mention It's Time (flashover mix), what a tune!
Nothing can beat "I Love You" from his new L.E.F (talking about the tracks in the album and not generally)
Out of all his newer productions, I definitely have to go with Fire, Cubikated, and I Love You!

Star Traveler is amazing -Hydroid remix of it....Dont like fire, not sure about beautiful...Holding on, even tho cheese is the best track lyrics wise...then punk and rock your body rock
Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ferry!!!
Lyrics:
Everything is beautiful.
Let the music carry you.
Maybe I will follow you, forever!
Nowhere else I'd rather be,
When you're lying next to me.
Let the music carry us, together!
