imho cyclist are all overpumped, all

i think that a man can't make 200 km every day for 3 weeks at 40 kmh. it's out the of the nature. i think that a cyclist must take drug, to do that sport

Wtf are you talking about? It's all about condition! If you would ride a classic, you know from the beginning that you're gonna get busted if you swallow your precious drugs Real dedicated cyclists bust their ass on the road, 100% pure effort, no 'aids' whatsoever. Landis thought he could get away with it. Americans...I personally think that Armstrong uses too, still he denies everything they say about him in France No sport goes without drugs

was a joke man saying that you need to be on drugs to enjoy hh and drugs to win in sports.

As for Landis I knew something was up after he made his "miracluous" comeback....definitly was doping I even told my friend this too now my thought has come true.

As for Lance. I dont want to believe he did it we will probably never find out now either. I thin suspicion will always be there but I just love him for what he did for Cancer and continues to do. Even if some evidence comes and proves him guilty I will not say a bad word about him as he used his fame and spotlight for a GREAT cause. Never the less this is a sad situation and another black eye for the Tour which is still recovering from Ulrich Basso etc.....

landis is clearly an idiot if he thought he could get away with doping and mello_head don't link his stupidity with americans, give us some credit

i don't think armstrong used performance enhancing drugs. how come when athletes excel exceptionally at a sport the general public subconsciously labels them a cheater? lance was one of the greats and should be respected.

i'm not saying i don't hate my fair share of people because i don't. i just don't want to be grouped with trash like landis

Could this be a false accusation... I don't know... I was pretty bummed when I first heard about it today... just because I want another AMERICAN dominating the Tour de France....

chi6me8ra, you rock, Patrick ROY is the best Goalie of all time, respect!

Le ROI... no doubt about it!

Posted by slinkyhead on Jul-27-2006 18:42:

amazing news, certainly would explain his turn around from breaking on the previous stage to doing that mammoth solo victory.

I was shocked and saddened to see the news this morning. What a douche bag if it's true. Really lame! I was very happy to see another American win but this makes me feel embarrassed. Yet, it has nothing to do with "Americans." There's 290 million Americans... yeah we are all just liars, dope dealers, and cheats.

As for Lance, he's considered to be the world's most tested athlete. He won for 7 freaking years and was tested and tested each time but never failed one. Then, with each accusation, he desperately tried to fight each one. You can tell cheaters by those that don't fight like Barry Bonds and the other baseball guys who don't do anything or go into hiding. Lance is still on the forefront out there in front of everybody taking it on. Please don't disrespect the man until something was proven, I think he's earned that.

"Cycling is dead"

Posted by Kapedano on Jul-28-2006 16:13:

I was happy when I saw an American winning it, just to piss off the French. But, its not like the French have any great cyclists, so who really gives a crap. But this is sad to hear, what a moron.

I say we need Lance back!!! So he could win a couple more

Maybe he is guilty as charged, maybe he is not. But let's not go convicting him just yet.

My concern is simple, they test the riders after each and every stage of the tour and God knows there are alot of them. yet he only tested positive on one day? Maybe I am wrong, but last time I checked drugs do not leave your system in one day and will show up in tests for quite some time. If that is accurate, the one positive test with all others being negative would not make any sense at all.

Moreover it seems that what they found was that his testosterone levels (a naturally occuring substance within males) were high compared to other levels in his system or something to that effect. Yet not everyone's testosterone levels are the same, and one would expect athletes to naturally have higher levels.

So I will reserve judgment until they conclusively establish that he actually used performance enhancing drugs.

And for those that say that is why he made that brilliant comeback after a bad stage. Let me remind you of the Miami Heat and Dwayne Wade. They were down 2 games to 0 to Dallas and losing by around 20 points in the 3rd quarter of game 3. Then all of a sudden Dwayne Wade and the entire team woke up and won 4 straight games. Does this mean that Pat Riley was shooting up the entire team on the sidelines? Of course not, they just came back, which happens.

i know very little about this so i could be way off the mark but here goes!

i presume when he broke down he knew that he was fuck'd so he took the testosterone on that day.

Of course the testers would expect testorterone levels to be higher in athletes. However again i guess his his level was alot higher on the positive test compared to he ones he failed. Thats how they would judge it. Also they will know that no matter what athele you are there is only a certain amount of testostrone the body can naturally produce. Again i am guessing landis was over this.

The comparison with the basketball team is completely irrelavent. The b'ball players didnt phyically collaspe. They just didnt bother getting the finger out.

He's guilty as fuck i think.
