Ghost Town, Toronto

a couple of weeks ago, me and my friend finished a script for a horror movie entitled, Ghost Town. its about two kids who are street thugs and on the run from the cops for armed robbery end up finding a hide out which is completely abandoned. but it turns out the place is hunted by old west cowboy robbers and demons.

after we were done the script the movie went into production and we were looking for places that looked kind of like an old western town. then we got a call from our music supervisor up in toronto who tells us that he found a place which is completely abandoned. when we get there, we were so happy that we found a place that looks just like the old western days. but it turns out the place was abandoned for a reason. it used to be a set for a TV show called Wind at My Back. after they were done filming there, shit started to happen. some cast and crew would randomly faint and start bleeding. so we are still thinking about shooting our movie in that place even if it is hunted. here are some pictures we took.

holy shit I remember that show, Wind at My Back I use to watch that when I was a kid...back in Regina.

where is this set exactly?

I've photographed that place for our location library a few yrs back. I didn't know it was abandoned now. Ah well! I can't even remember what it was called...

i so would like to check this place out... looks pretty crazy. a friend of mine who photographs abandoned buildings would prob. really get a kic outta it..... any possible way of gettin better directions to it?

My only advice to you guys is to make sure that, no matter what happens, you keep it real.

funny you should ask me that question cause my friend just called me an hour ago to tell me this
no one knows much about before, but there was a group of Drama kids from Satec High School, went into one of the houses to film something, and all the girls there started bleeding from of there hands. they couldnt find the cuts. after they left the place, the bleeding stopped.

the area is also a hang out for kids with drugs and nothing better to do.
people have said that when ever they went into the area, they wouldnt be able to light a joint for some reason. it just would never would, they would have to do it out side then bring it in.

anyways this is the house where the bleeding hands incident happened.

Seriously I'm like obsessed with this stuff. I want to go there the next time I'm in Toronto and wander about. It looks cool as FUCK@

yea we are gonna go back there ina week or 2 and shoot a short movie to see if anything happens. if not, then its a safe place to film our other movie. if so, then i guess my friend (the producer) gotta consult some religious people or priests about making the place haunted free.

Its not like this is/was an old abandoned ghost town. This was a constructed film set. I call bluff on urban myths.

LOL. I say we all form a group and just go down there. If we find nothing, we've debunked an urban myth. If weird shit starts to happen, well, all the better (I'm a sucker for those kinds of adrenaline rushes).

BTW, did no one find it odd that you are apparently not able to light a joint, yet teens go there to do drugs?
