Armin at Bricks???

a friend told me she was listening to Vybe 107.1 and heard Avb was gonna be at Bricks Aug. 4th. can anyone confirm. also said it was gonna be rooftop

impossible. let me explain why:

armin is playing in germany the 5th. flights to europe are overnight flights, ALWAYS. so there is no way that he could play at bricks the 4th at night and then play in germany on the 5th. unless bricks gets him a private jet. what are the chances of that

If Space/LP did not spend the money to bring him down here on normal terms with month's notice, I sincerely doubt that this new club would do so at a whim with little or no promotions to speak of. Not to mention the clear flight/timing issues pointed out by Amber.

One of the most important factors in booking international DJs is to try and do it while they are already in the states to avoid paying 1000s more for flights.

Better said "tried to" replace him. Although I believe Boris is playing on Saturday and Armin was playing on Friday. If so they can still properly replace AVB with the flying dutchman, Ferry Corsten.

I will take Ferry, electro and all. And even before everyone and their mother started playing some form of electro, Ferry has always experimented with harder electro-ish sounds. Most importantly, to this day I think Ferry is un-matched in his ability to put together DJ sets that take you on a journey, with an awesome vibe and which are tailored for the crowd. Only Tiesto compares in that regard.

I was there and loved hearing AVB then Ferry. (hell even Sasha and Digweed did alright before AVB). And that LEF track is actually electro, or at least elctro-ish. Yet Ferry pulls it off nicely.

I hope Space actually tries to book him again, because his return is overdue.

Bricks its opening this weekend.. its more like a Lounge Club or something of that style. Looks good for a hangout and some good progressive, but AvB??? I dont know.. in the second weekend of their opening ?? mmm sounds wierd.
