Who is your favorite dj, and thier best set?
Name your favorite dj and your favorite set by them.

Favorite Mix
Funky Deep'n'Tribal 2005

I refuse to let any DJ be my number one. If the DJ makes me move and I enjoy that set...then they did a good job. If I am bored with what they spin then they suck balls and should never spin again....they should be shot on the spot so no one should ever hear that crap played again....also.....no DJ should be able to spin a track spun by another DJ in the same night...that is also grounds for being shot....basically....I will decide which DJs live and which die.
maybe i should ask, which DJ do u enjoy the most at this moment

/\ Thank you
My fav DJ is Armin, hands down.
My two favourite live sets that I was in attendance for are Armin at Decadence 1, and Armin at Labour of Love '05.
But a lot of my favourite "recorded" sets that I still listen to now and again are from Oakenfold's EM tour from '99.
My top DJ has always been Misstress B, and I don't think that will change...but maybe she'll start spinning DnB and I'll change my mind.
Favorite set Ive heard in person: a tie between a 3 hr 3 deck techno set in a tiny and sweaty club in Grand Bend - Summer of 02 - maybe 200 people were there to witness that! and the other set is her 8+hr birthday set at Aria Nov 2002...2002 was a good year.

My favorite DJ I'm sure you can guess is Ferry Corsten. I find it hard to pick my favorite set of his though b/c since he is my favorite I like so much of his stuff. There are a lot of sets I have of his that are just phenomenal. Ferry Corsten is also diverse in his style of music. The kind of stuff he plays now is quite different from sets he spun 5 years ago, which makes them hard to compare for "best set" IMO.
dupetastic!

Erick Morillo - fav set .... everytime i have see him live just gets better everytime !
BTW, besides _EUG_'s excellent ability to make threads on topics that have been beaten to death already, I want to mention that there is a large placebo effect when it comes to sets from your favourite DJ. If you like (love) the DJ already, you are strongly biased to enjoy his/her set more than if you didn't like him/her as much.
James Zabiela, and I think my fav set of his that i have heard is a toss up between his 2004 essential mix or disc one of the first "Four" promo he did.
