Sometimes I dislike the attitude of people who look down upon ravers who they would consider to be "candy ravers". So what if they wear flares (yup that's me), colorful clothings, colorful wigs, fishnet pantyhose (okay not me), etc... As long as they're not aiming objects at your head (which I do hate) and not slamming into you like the meatheads at Avalon, not only will I not raise an eyebrow, I applaud them for living it up and get crazy for a day. Truly, if I didn't see people dressing as pimps n hoes, angels, candy kids, drags, whatever, which is a colorful and most wonderful part of any rave, I probably wouldn't even go to one.

While they don't do that, they do something just as bad... They sit in the middle of the dance floor in their little (or HUGE) e-puddles. Every time i seen paramedics come it's because of a candy-raver.

I tend to agree. Sure, some candy ravers act inappropriately, but I've seen poor behavior at Spundae & Avalon too. They're colorful and fun to look at. I sometiimes with I could pull it off myself.

Dancing Dude

I havn't chewed a pacifier since i was a toddler and i never dressed up like a candykid and i didn't start listening to trance til i was 18...but honestly sometimes i wish i had been into that stuff when i was a kid, it looks like a fun community to be part of, and who amongst us would really be so vile as to argue with the ideals of plur??? in fact i kinda wish partiers/clubbers today would embrace those ideals a bit more...

The problem with PLUR was that too many people preached it, but didn't practice it.

No fuzzy pants, and no 80 million candy bracelets, and I didn't have pple call me SPARKLES or anything of that sort.

But I did rock my Powerpuff Girl backpack/t-shirt and glitter/stars near my eyes!!

Seriously, why are there so many haters who love edm. I started listening to trance/house when i was 18, and regret not doing so earlier. I know so many great people who started really early on, and loved every minute of it. They're totally normal people who like to dress up and go wild on occasion. Yes, the e-puddles can be annoying at times, but its not just the candy kids who are in the e puddles. I've seen plenty of clubbers and drunk kids sprawled around, being asses to others.
