OMGAWTZ!

I was logging onto some site about 3 months ago. Getting all registered and one thing they asked was to enter a poem into one of the fields.

it was optional - but i was downloading tunes at the time so the whole p00tah was running slow - so i did.

here it is;

DONKEY

I just want to log on,
this is so strange,
why doesnt it just ask me,
my freakin' name?

I just met my word quota,
so im outta here,
what a waste of time,
I'm grabbing a beer.

.....and lo and behold i get a letter today telling me its going to be in the book 'Immortal Versus' with a 2 page bio spread and its been shortlisted to win a $1,000 prize.

Ive checked and checked - there is no scam attached.

so yes
R0000000000000000000000000000000000FLEZ!!!111

I submitted a few poems to them back in 2002. I got letters saying they would be published, that I'd been specially selected, blah blah blah, but when I go and look these poems up now, (do a search for "Olivia Vandenberg" if you want to have a giggle) it still says the book is due to be published in winter 2006. It's been "due to be published in winter 200x" for the last 5 years. The only thing that's changed is the name of the volume. And this year's volume name is....Immortal Verses.

Sorry to rain on your parade. I got all excited like you did too. They spin a good story.
