I actually like Blank & Jones - Relax.

I don't know if people find it cheesy, but i think it is quite soothing.

Posted by tctitan on Aug-03-2006 17:34:

Nah it isnt cheesy. Vol 1 is very good and disc 2 of the second Vol. is also very good imo. Good recommendation

Newer ones:

Vibrasphere "Selected Downbeats Vol.1"
Opium "Floatdownstream"

Posted by Spirit5 on Aug-03-2006 20:30:

Cafe del Mar: Ibiza 3, compiled by Jose Padilla
Visions of Ibiza, compiled by Chicane (esp the first CD)
Breathe, by Blue Stone.
Music by Windspiel, you can find their stuff on Beatport or go to their MySpace Windspiel
Music by Ryan Farish, esp his first CD "Beautiful", a little on the sappy, new age side but still great chill out music.

MARZIPAN & MUSTARD
Playground
(MIL073) Millennium Records 1999
14 Tracks. 65mins21secs.

Marzipan & Mustard have been around for some time, releasing techno records, under different monikers, in the mid-nineties, before turning towards more ambient grounds. Sometimes reminiscent of the floating trance of L.S.G.s Into The Deep, with whom they share the fact of coming from Germany, Marzipan & Mustard apply the same recipe for a similar result. Playground can be, in turn, fascinating or dull, atmospheric or soporific, mellow or shallow, according to the moment of the day, and the mood, or the state youre in when listening to it. Perfect for early Sunday morning chill-out sessions, it has trouble to remain interesting passed the clubbing curfew. Some good tracks, such as Accident, Magoo or Fever II, one of the dancier moments, manage to salvage the whole album from sinking into total boredom, but unfortunately, it is not enough to make this record completely essential.

Yess and also KLF Chill Out, Biosphere-Substrata 1997, The Orb etc mentioned above

I love the front pictures of the CD. I listened to some samples and I quite like it. I recently bought my first chillout album. I'm considering buying this one too.

I would go with Vibrasphere.

Corentin Emprou - Ambient Mix Series

If your looking more along the lines of "trance" chillout i.e. solar stone than ignore these suggestions...

Anything by Coded Audio in the Amateur Dj section (First Winter and A Feeling That I Get are, imho the best)

Danny Howells 24:7 (disc 1)

even then James LeVelle (sp?) Global Underground 24 Rekjivak(sp?haha) (Disc 1)
