Tiesto & Maxi Jazz - Dance for life

What are your thoughts on this track? I belive the track was made to help promote awareness of AIDS/HIV, does anyone know if profits from the release are going to charity?

Sample

It could be 10000 times better, and a remix could actually make this track worth listening to.
The main riff/breakdown in the middle sounds worser than anything 'sash' would produce, and thats an understatement!

Anything that guy touches turns to gold I tell ya.

I know that. His Purple Haze Remix of Take Me Away sounds like completly new track. And His Rework of Sun Goes Down is just HUGE.

I have to say it sounds fucking massive for the most part, but that main hook totally spoils it. It sounds like Tiesto tried to emulate the big hooks Faithless used to kick out, but he's clearly no Sister Bliss.

Message In A Bottle?

"I only smoke weed when I need to/and I need to get some rest..."
sound familiar?

"It sounds like Tiesto tried to emulate the big hooks Faithless used to kick out, but he's clearly no Sister Bliss."

exactly

also sounds already like someone was listening to SVD when they produced it.

This track isn't bad at all. It doesn't compare to his recent stuff though. I can't wait for the SvD remix

pretty hot.

it's not a fundamentally bad tune, but many of its elements have been sloppily stitched and slapped together which is expected since it was rushed to completion in order to coincide with various charity events.

it's all for charity anyway so any debates are silly and academic; still looking forward to what svd will do with the remix tho... =)

The first part sounds really good, but I agree with you guys about that melody after the breakdown...it's horrid. Because it goes to a good cause that's fine, but as a stand alone track...it does sound rushed and unpolished. Hopefully SvD can polish this baby up and make it sound worthwhile.

It's...ok. But I agree a remix is in order.
I liked Message In A Bottle, at least the one with the original lyrics.

Actually i'd like to say that the version i heard in Vienna last week was a far more polished effort than the Sensation broadcast.

It seemed really good (as 2nd track).

Whereas as Sensation i was just thinking Oh God Vocal Clash!

Its true that Annie Lennox was the original 'designated' vocalist, but she rejected the idea.

I met Maxi Jazz a few months back in a club in Leeds where he was dropping beats for a breakdancing competition! Was class!!

Not a fan of this track tho im afraid, rather poor imo
