Who has there own web site

Who has there own web sites that they post their music on. If you do who are you using to host your site. i was using register.com but you can not post music on there, the files are to big. so i am just looking to see who some of you are using to host your site.

Also if you have a site leave the web address so we can check it out. thanks

I have a website, and then I have some space (from school) where I sometimes upload livesets.

Good hosting is hard to find these days (well, free).

You could also put a server into a data colocation =) One of my friends and I did that, except he runs Counter-Strike servers.

I usually just do most of my ones with godaddy.com

I second Dreamhost!

If you want a REAL webhost service, with TONS (like 20 gigs) of disk space, and a LOT of bandwidth (like 1 terabyte per month), they are great and VERY reasonably priced.

You do have to know a bit about how web hosting works, building up your site, etc.

I use godaddy for my registar, and NO-IP.com for my DNS servers. I run my website off a computer in my basement. Costs me about 20 a year or somthing minisucle like that.

I have site A.D.D so I don't have really anything to show off.

I have many sites...

http://www.DjWoody.com

I bought my domain through www.DirectNic.com for $15 a year. Then I have it forwarded to a server. The domain includes FREE unlimited email forwardings such as [email protected], [email protected] etc...

My server space is throught www.Aplus.net. I pay $14.95 a month for the Solo XR plan. It includes 190GB of Storage!!!! Audio Streaming and more.

Plus, they ass-randomnly give you upgrades for free.

- They allowed users to upgrade one plan above their current one and still pay for the price of their original plan
- They recently, for free, quadrupled each users' disk space and octupled each users' bandwidth, so now I have...
- 60 GB of space, which increases weekly by 480MB
- 1.6TB of bandwidth, which increases weekly by 16GB
- The only downtime I've experienced has been when they moved their data center and when the power went out this summer because of the heat wave
- Excellent customer service
- $20/month

I know I sound kind of like an infomercial, but if you really want hosting and don't mind paying $20/month for it, then do it.

I have dreamhost too... If you do a little research you can get it for like $12 for the 1st year -- great bargain!

Yup, I'm going to go ahead and jump on the Dreamhost bandwagon here, they're great. I just registered myself a website and sadly, their '777' promo code expired, which gave you hosting/domain for a year for about 10$, but even without the code, they have excellent prices.

i use aplus.net....been with them since around 2003 or so and never had a problem. great customer service too.

A buddy of mine hosts his own website and offered to give me free hosting for my mixes and my own forum. He's got like 800GB of bandwidth so me having a website through him doesn't affect him.
