I need a decent vst sampler to use with cubase.

I'm currently using kontakt2, but for some reason it takes forever to load, one copy of kontakt2 will take literally tens of times longer to load than any other vst. It seems to try to read my floppy drive for some reason when it loads, and then my hard drive makes a bunch of noise for a long time.

Is there any way to make kontakt2 load faster?

Or are there any good alternative vst samplers to use in cubase?

Never had any problems with it. With the legal version that is.

Just when starting it up.

I also have no problems with intakt, or any similar programs.

I've now downgraded to kontakt1 and as it loads instantly.

Ok I just tested mine and it took 3 seconds to fully load but some reason it does seem to try and read the floppy!

Also do you know what exact version it is as there has been some updates for it?

Thinking about it I'am sure I had the problem with mine when I first got it.

Do you have it set up so that when you load it it automaticly finds a set of samples on your computer? ( Shows up under the files tab on the left of the gui )

I had it set up to find a set of samples on my D drive which seemed to take forever when loading. However when I changed the same samples to my E drive the problem disappeared.

Might be worth giving it a go.
