today has been ace!
this wasnt designed to fall on the same day as claw's, but hey.
today has been ace. got in work at 7am. as its the day before my birthday, i had the traditonal meal at lunchtime, and usual antics.
8am came, and linzi said "go away", and i said no. traditionally if its ur birthday, ur desk is decorated in balloons, tinsle, and other shit. she said if u dont piss off, im going to hurt u, so i left lol.
birthdays have never been a big thing for me, partly because my family have never given a shit about it, so naturally ive grown up not caring either.
when i came back, my desk had streamers all over it, balloons saying "21st", had about 4 cards and 4 presents, was shocked. my first present was a silly watch that fired missles at people lol. deffinately something to get fired over. second was a sweat head band, and arm bads. i play badminton every week so thats why linzi got me those. i was also bought a joke badminton set, rackets and shuttle cock lol.
My next present was a kiddies battle ship. we used to have this gameshow on TV here called bullseye - and the star prize was always a speedboat. - no matter if u lived, even 100's of miles from a coast, you won a speedboat. no idea why, but it became famous for it.
After a discussion about bullseye, i put down on the birthday list, i wanted a speedboat. Today covered in wrapping paper, i found a warship (elaine couldnt find a speedboat apprently). u pulled out the parts from this vacuume paked framework, and stuck it all together - it said on the box "ages 5 and above - no glue required, all plugs together" - .. BOLLOCKS. This thing took me an hour (on works time haha). I even used a nail file, super glue, and a knife. The holes in the boat were smaller than the pegs of the things that were meant to stick into it lol! Anyway, after an hr i finally had it made and sitting proudly on my desk where it shall remain lolz.
my boss had been itching to get down the pub since 7:30am, so after doing NOTHING from 7am - 12pm, apart from build a battle ship on works time, cut and hand out birthday cake, play with my toys and generally talk to people, 18 people headed to the pub!
Normally, about 25% of people invited to something drop out, but out of the 19 people invited, only one person said they couldnt come. Sue Campton who is always up for a party couldnt make it as she was ill but shes always partying so if she was ill it must have been serious.
after just over an hour and a great time, everyone but me and my boss (who had been thirsty since 7:30) had left, who were the only ones not going back to work. we spent about 1hr+ just talking, about all sorts. work, relationships, this ugly girl who has a crush on me at work (lol), managers, beer, u name it.
Eventually i get home, 3hrs 30mins after my meal lol, and go right down the shop to buy some more beer as i hadnt got any here. Here i am now, totally fucking spannered, struggling to type! Believe it or not, its taken not shy of an hour to type this. 75% because im too drunk to type, and 25% coz of jennypie telling me she loves me on msn and i don't know what to do!
