god ****ing dammit i just spilled all over my xone:32

the vibrations from the volume caused a picture frame to fall over which knocked over an open coke which spilled all over my 1 month old xone:32. i dried it off as best i could as soon as possible but the filter is completely fucked. time to email A&H.

condolences

i'm on the verge of tears here...this is going to cost me a least a few hundred dollars...hopefully they can fix it without having to replace the whole thing.

Haha if your going to drink something, put it on a desk or dresser away from your set up. This hobby costs too much money, gotta baby your equipment like you would a nice car...just some advice for the future. I don't think warranties cover accidents like this. If you told someone at A&H they would probably laugh, because I doubt they'd except "a frame fell and knocked an open can of coke onto my mixer...". Most warranties only cover manufacturer defects. But if it didn't f**k up the whole thing, then getting a replacement part shouldn't be hard. But like I said, I doubt they'd replace the whole thing due to this...

jk

ps.: sorry dude

Posted by spdandpwr on Aug-06-2006 20:36:

hopefully nothing else got messed up...also if a fluid spills on your mixer and doesnt' ruin anything now...doesnt' mean its not going to ruin anything later...the fluid leaks in the machine and actually corrodes stuff..so be careful. try selling it to an unsuspecting person...

EDIT: the selling bit is intended to be a joke....please don't take it seriously as i wouldn't want to be the one buying that mixer...

They should make clear covers for the equipment for either club useage or at home useage so if something does spill, it's protected. It could double as a dust cover...

Reminds me of my Czech roommate from high school...one of the best athletes I've known, but the biggest klutz I've ever known in everyday life. He used to lie on his bed with an open can of Pepsi standing on the mattress next to his laptop. Eventually, it tipped over & emptied on it. It broke it, so he sent it to Compaq & told them he didn't know what happened. They gave him a new one.

funniest kid I've ever known. Last person you'd ever want to trust with any sort of repairs, though.

My regards, come with advice; never put coke or any beverage near your set-up.

ebay it as new and recoup your losses

Posted by idoru on Aug-07-2006 17:48:
