Good luck with the sale!

I have the 600 and iv had nothing but good results with it, but yeah, the sound quality is not the best but thats because there is a big designe flaw in it. All the audio must pass through the EFX unit wich deminishes the sound quality quite a bit.
I love my 600 but im using solely a digital platform, so the only weak link is my mixer, everytrhing else in my chain is all digital.
The next mixer i get is 100% gonna be the Xone 3D.
Built in soundcard, tempo bendable midi clock, midi assignable faders/rotary pots/scrub wheels.
Once you turn into the xone, you'll honestly pitch that Allen & Heath > any other plastic toy!
It'll be a promising investment, and I know you're getting better and better with filters so I'm sure it'll pay off too.

Either A&H need to have an fx unit built in, or pioneer needs to fix its quality...neither mixer is worth the price tag with these things lacking IMO.
I think the Xone is pretty decently priced for what you get these days.. I expect it to last me a looong time. I have looked in to getting a seperate FX unit but still would cost me basically what I would have paid for a djm 500 + a bit.
The Xone62 is even cheaper than the speakers we decided to get today! Figured at some point it doesn't matter if you have a quality mixer & needles if the sound is shite.
^^ True, and vice versa as well.
Good sound necessitates the best of the best on every front in between record and ear.
2000 for the DJM 800 is killer but it's damn worth it in my opinion. Have you seen that thing in person?
good price
I recommend the ecler nuo 5 over all mentionned mixers. I played them all and the only one that really made me consider selling my nuo is the 800 like marcus said.
I can garantee you it is not worth spending more on AH, quality difference between the two is unnoticeable. (the ONLY disadvantage of the nuo is it's two permanently assigned channels...)
edit: noticed you have mentionned the 62, my bad
Oh yea, i played on the djm800 at Moog Audio and it is beautiful, but 2000$ it too much. At the moment, i wanna learn how to mix with filters, and the A&H can offer that for a little under 1000$. The feel of it is great, and you can't complain about the sound. I do spin on active studio monitors and i'm sure the 62 will sound amazing on them.
The nuo 5 seems like a great mixer too, but i have never put my fingers on it so i don't wanna risk it.
I believe the mixer is sold.
Craigslist is a really good place to sell stuff! I created a new post and within 10 minutes i got offers.

| Originally posted by Wisnia Ok, well the mixer might still be for sale. The guy wants me to ship it to Nigeria hehe, and for some reason i think he wants to scam me or something. Anyways, the guy is moving from Ottawa now, and i told him i'll only ship it there. Im awaiting a reply and i will keep you up to date. |
