Review: Sydney vs Jelo @ M Lounge

Sydney vs Jelo....

First time seeing Jelo spin, and he as good as Ive heard. This coming from a Sydney fan, Jelo threw down harder tunes.

Nice club...wayy to fucking hot though..especially for a night back to back Jelo and Sydney!!! wow

Music was killer...great track selection!! I was dancing pretty hard but like most of us had to stop a thousand times b/c the heat was too much.

so who won guys?? I honestly think it was a tie!!

Honestly this was fantastic. I was blown away. The music and the vibe was through the roof. Glued to the dance floor for sure. It's going to have to be added to the sig.

How obnoxious was the club to find though? Damn street numbers being wrong. I must have wandered up and down richmond for at least an hour.

Long hair, white t-shirt, can't dance to house. I probably came across a little sketchy since people kept asking me for drugs.

i wish i came out for this one..

not a very enjoyable night...

- tunes were very good.
- sydney and jelo are tied...they could have played a bit better.
- the heat was extremely unbearable.
- i was still getting gut rot...and it took me quite a while to feel the vibe.
- club is beautiful.
- nice mixed crowd..alot of very cute breakers
- mona is weird.

lol...seriously, my night would have been crap, but just seeing and partying with all the tas makes me smile...im corny i know..

but I totally agree with you 100% [yes I am total weirdo]. except I was not that hot at all. I've almost died at other venues.

I met quite a few people last night!

I love dancing with ta's. I am so glad everyone came out.
I met quite a few people, lots of tribers [barf], some pureravers. bahahah and some torontoravers.

p.s. i should stop drinking.

- Definitely too fucking humid in there. 15 mins of nonstop dancing and you felt like you just took a shower in your own sweat. As much as it has come to be that when sweat is dripping off your face means you're having a jolly good time, when it happens after a couple of mins of dancing, that just ain't right.

- I liked the club and the crowd it brought a lot though. Considering it's right in the Entertainment District, that's saying a lot. I'd definitely come back there if they had another night of Breaks.

- On that note, Stretch & Hooker fucking killled it. Awesome tunes from them (him? I remember seeing only one guy) - Josh Wink, Azzido Da Bass, and many more awesome tunes I can't remember. Robb G was good too, but not as good imo.

- It sucks that I had to cut time from the Jelo&Sydney sets to go upstairs to dry off off. On the upside, Breaks.

- Jelo vs. Sydney: Since I was gone for a good portion of the set, my opinion may be off, but Sydney definitely killed Jelo in the first 30 minutes - she was playing just as hard and had very good tunes. From there on Jelo kept the hard pace while Sydney seemed to settle into her dirty House groove. I would say Sydney wins by a hair.

- I don't want to mention this, but camera flashes in a dark small club that has none of those spinny lights of the bigger clubs are a BIG NO-NO. It left me completely disoriented a couple of times, and was basically just plain fucking annoying.

i'm so glad i was with you during the stretch and hooker set.

yeah it probably is one guy - I don't know I just follow the plural rule... man am I still hammered?

I wish that set got recoreded.

I liked Jelo better then Sydney, altho she did play some sick tracks like that girl song from Pulp Fiction soundtrack

it was very hot indeed, but probably same or cooler then a regular guv night during the summer

the drinks could have been cheaper!!!

If anyone has any pictures of the night, let me know. They would have to be pretty big though. Looking for pictures of people dancing, socialing or DJs? A photographer from NOW was supposed to be there to take some pics for someone I know that is writting a review, but they didn't show.. and he needs a pic or two to go in the magazine.
