Has anyone been to film lounge?

At the risk of this thread turning into a total shitshow, I'm actually curious to know what it is like. My fav dj is playing there this weekend, and I'm not sure if I would should venture out to this lounge.

To go out? or to not to go?

I don't know how to use the search button [except to search for the sauga thread] so... the option of searching for review threads are out.

I haven't been there in about 4 years.
From what I remember though it was pretty sketchy. But if it is one your favorite DJ will be there you may as well check it out.

last time i was there was in 2003...yea there may be sketch but if ur with at least 2-3 others, u'll have a good time....

some buds went there just a couple weeks ago on a Saturday... they mentioned that there was no alky being served. I found that odd, every time I'd been to film they were fully licensed... that has probably changed the crowd going there by a bit.

I've never been to Film, so can't help you out there. But in regards to the search button:

In this case I would recommend just writing "film" in the "containing these words" field. Possibly even writing "review" or "lounge" in the "optionally containing these words" field. And then selecting "Toronto & Southern Ontario Forums". Click "search thread titles only". And then pick the time frame you want to choose from.

Sometimes you have to play around with it. The search button doesn't always work properly...so you can't always count on it.

It's really not that hard...just try it and see what you can come up with.

i was there 3 times so far

1. some 3 years ago when i was there it was the biggest sausage fest that i've seen in my life. even worse than that time when armin was spinning at the guv and you couldnt see any girls on the pics. i was inside some 10 minutes and i said to myself "never again".

2. some 4 months ago footwork closed early and my friend made me go there. even tho i said "no fucking way" he said that phe place changed and we went. that was an awesome fucking night. beats were just brutally good, ratio girls : guys was good and vibe was better than good so....

3. 2 months ago i went with my friend and 2 chicks that we picked up at some lounge and we had a blast. same thing, kickass beats, vibe was good, at times it was way too good lol and people were all cool.

so im definately go to film again.

but i dont know about you going all by yourself. be preparred for lotsa "how you doin'"'s, lotsa pick up lines. i doubt it that anybody will bug you too much.

Xavier... as far as i'm concerned i'm not talking to you anymore.

I went there twice last summer.. from what i remember, everyone is fucking nice there, but I was probably the nicest... you can understand what I'm getting at.. I wouldn't suggest solo just because it's a very small place and I think you would get very bored.. and then at 6 a.m. you go to the comfort zone. That's the routine, and that's how it's done.

It'll still never be as bad as an r&b/top40 club. It's impossible in even cross the dancefloor without getting grabbed inappropriately.

I was there once, on a Wednesday night...VERY sketchy....I am sure some of the people there had not been home since the previous weekend!

It's a 2 minute walk from my place ... SO SKETCH ! .. the crowd that hangs out there on a saturday .. WOW !

I'd still go tho, and I'll check it out if Jelo is playing.

I will probably be hitting another party before Jelo plays at film.
I will reconfirm this set time with Jelo! According to his myspace he plays at 1am. <3
Any idea how much is cover? I'm guessing $20 right? If this place is sketchy as it sounds, I better hear it dark and dirty from him.
