G'night, going to bed soon myself.

I like this thread's title!

Bon nuit tout le monde.

Posted by Frenchie on Aug-16-2006 04:04:

G'night TA!

I suppose it's considered morning now.

G'night just the same!

EDIT: IMO if it's dark outside, it's night time, when the sun breaks through, then I call it morning.

Ahh, sleep.
G'nite, all.

Posted by loca on Aug-16-2006 05:51:

Just so you guys know it's actually spelt "Bonne nuit". "Nuit" is feminine ("la nuit"), therefore "Bon" becomes feminine too, hence "Bonne".

Bonne nuit tout le monde!

Damn....I guess those french classes all the way through OAC didn't help! Oops

Posted by loca on Aug-16-2006 17:40:

No worries, I know for most native english speakers it's really hard to figure out which word is masculine and which is feminine. There is a rule for it of course but unfortunately there are also a lot of exceptions

I vaguely remember a rule...I took every French class offered in high school...enriched too! I did well, but that's b/c I studied. I haven't taken French for about 4 years now though...how quickly we forget things.

Should I change the title to Bonne Nuit then? or is it fine the way it is?

I slept from 1am to 1030 am last night! sometimes I can sleep for 16 hours, my longest was 21 hours of sleep!
