Perry O'Neil - Bass Society

Played in ASOT 259 & 260. Really good tune! It isn't something you would except from Perry. For me it has a very beautiful melody, I like it very much! Someone who likes it too or knows something about this release? I think "No Matter What" & "South West Saga" will be on it too.

South-West Saga, Bass Society and Swirl will be on the same EP.

Heard it on ASOT 260. Its my favourite thing from Perry since Wave Force. Any news on a release date?

Was Swirl ever been played in a radio show? Or hasn't it been played yet?

'South Side Saga' is epic really like that track a lot, not heard the other two tunes yet, but can bet they are quality, Perry has been on fire lately

No way man, it's another nice track by Perry IMO, in his typical style, not like 'Bass Society'.

Posted by Redmondo on Aug-23-2006 10:58:

yes its a cool track but does anyone know the release date ?!?!?!?

Posted by mrcanon on Aug-23-2006 11:41:

I just heard Swirl at Perry's MySpace. It's a good track, but Bass Society & South-West Saga are better. Swirl is totally different, but it's nice. There was also another track on his MySpace: Industribe, sounds good too, but is nothing special. Maybe I love it after hearing it a few times. This one will be released on the label of DJ Remy (68 Recordings). I think that the release of Bass Society will be soon.

For me the best tracks by Perry are 'Wave Force', 'Kubik' and 'Get Out Of My Sofa', but it's just for me.

The waiting is over, this fantastic piece of art is going to be released on Electronic Elements on the 11th of september!

Posted by Jasperovitsj on Aug-27-2006 22:07:

I think it sounds a bit too much like he's trying to recreate Wave Force again. Not a bad track though, but I don't think it will last very long...

Awesome track, totally Perry's style!

My favorite with the massive Wave Force of 2004!

yeah indeed, thats about it. After that he has gone downhill along with many others in that genre for me (Schulz for example)

its ok, didnt strike me as anything amazing, ive always felt Perry makes solid prog house tunes but theyre fillers imo.

Don't really see him as a prog house producer.....

Bass Society has grown on me but it's not as good as South West Saga. I do enjoy Perry's productions, he never seems to get stale like most uncreative producers these days.

I like the fact that Perry doesn't just put out the same sort of track on each EP, all three tracks on this ep could be played in one set & not sound out of place.

Waveforce is still probably my favouroite of his though Numb was awesome
