you can count me in for this
Most of you probably know the music of our DJs fairly well, but you should also check out the website of the dance troupe that will be performing, Nouvel Expose.
http://www.nouvelexpose.com/
We're also going to have a selection of photos and paintings donated by local artists available for silent auction and a psychic giving palm and tarot card readings.
For anyone interested in showing up a bit earlier, Lauren, the founder of the charity we're working with, will be giving a short presentation on their projects in South Africa. She's cool, we met her in Miami at WMC last year.
There is a limited guestlist of $10!

We just came back from the opening ceremony for the conference! It was amazing!
Bill and Melinda Gates made an amazing speech. Richard Gere dissed the Prime Minister Stephen Harper for shunning the conference. Tony Clement got boooed! Lots of booing for Tony Clement!

Rollcall updated.
couple of articles regarding Gate's and Gere's efforts for the cause.
Gates: Women key to fighting AIDS
TORONTO, Canada (Reuters) -- A cream, gel or pill that women can use to protect themselves from the AIDS virus is key to stopping the AIDS pandemic, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who has given hundreds of millions of dollars to HIV programs, said on Sunday.
Gates said he would step up funding for prevention research but said governments and other donors needed to do so, also.

GETTING INTO GERE
It wasn't movie star power that touched young people during a chat with Richard Gere about AIDS and HIV. It was the actor's passion about the issues.

nice work guys... and congrats on the solid slot Aaron!
I was at the opening ceremonies yesterday, which were typical of conference-type events, but there were a couple of good speeches.
Bill Gates put a lot of focus on issues of women's rights and finding ways to ensure that they can protect themselves against infection. He and his wife spoke a lot more pointedly than I was expecting about harm reduction approaches and eliminating the stigma of HIV. Melinda's speech in particular was quite political, and in a good way.
Richard Gere took a few very effective shots at Harper for not being there. He essentially called him for being an ineffective leader, at least on the issues of AIDS.
Stayed for a few minutes into the concert part of the night; Tiesto opened and played for 10 minutes.
